Mission Statement

Our mission is to amplify the creative power held by people of color in games. We do this by organizing revolutionary events, uniting our vibrant community, and building access to knowledge, funding, and opportunities. Creators of color make great games but are often pushed to the margins. We fight to create a better games industry that is intersectional and equitable.

About This Cause

Game Devs of Color is a nonprofit that empowers underrepresented game developers through grants, scholarships, mentorship, and public showcases. We provide access, visibility, and professional development opportunities to underrepresented creators, helping them build careers and launch their games. Through events like the Game Devs of Color Expo, online games showcases, and local programming, we foster a community that connects developers with audiences, press, and industry professionals.
