Multivariate demand is a practical approach in today's business scenario. The entropy of a system... more Multivariate demand is a practical approach in today's business scenario. The entropy of a system is a measurement of the amount of disorder. Inflation is one of the major factors in inventory modeling. It makes the inventory model to realistic. Permissible delay in payment also plays an important role in a highly competitive market. It is a promotional tool to push the product, which indirectly reduces the selling price of the product. This paper developed an Entropic inventory model of imperfect product quality with multivariate demand and permissible delay in payment under the inflationary environment. The finding of this paper is that cost of entropy behaves the same as the selling price and EOQ. The numerical example is carried out using the software MATHEMATICA12.0. Sensitivity Analysis is carried out to see the behavior of different parameters.

Inflation is considered as one of the required conditions for inventory model because the economi... more Inflation is considered as one of the required conditions for inventory model because the economic factor affect so many factors like rate of investment, demand level, labor cost, cost of raw material, rate of unemployment, productivity level, tax, liquidity etc. Here an inventory model for economic order quantity has been developed for the items having a variable holding cost with ramp type demand and inflation. The objective is to find out the retailer’s optimal inventory policy that maximize/minimize the total profit cost. Mathematical illustration of the result with the help of a numerical example has been shown. Sensitivity analysis is also provided to check the stability of this model.

The retailer will store their excess items in a rented warehouse (RW) in order to reduce deterioration and storage space limitations in their own warehouse (OW). During this investigation, shortages are also permitted. By implementing green design and product stewardship, manufactures can reduce their recycling costs. Through green design and product stewardship, a manufacturer can maintain both profit as well as an environmental concern. In this model I determined for maximizing the average profit under the influence of inflation. Numerical example is carried out by using the software Mathematica 12.0 which used to illustrate the proposed model and a sensitivity analysis is carried out to study the effect of different parameters.

In this paper we develop a sustainable inventory model for byer in which deterioration is time dependent. Numerical illustration is carried by using the software MATHEMATICA 12.0. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to show the effect of different parameters on total profit.

ABSTRACT Quantity prediction of municipal solid waste (MSW) is crucial for design and programming... more ABSTRACT Quantity prediction of municipal solid waste (MSW) is crucial for design and programming municipal solid waste management system (MSWMS). Because effect of various parameters on MSW quantity and its high fluctuation, prediction of generated MSW is a difficult task that can lead to enormous error. The works presented here involve developing an improved support vector machine (SVM) model, which combines the principal component analysis (PCA) technique with the SVM to forecast the weekly generated waste of Mashhad city. In this study, the PCA technique was first used to reduce and orthogonalize the original input variables (data). Then these treated data were used as new input variables in SVM model. This improved model was evaluated by using weekly time series of waste generation (WG) and the number of trucks that carry waste in week of t. These data have been collected from 2005 to 2008. By comparing the predicted WG with the observed data, the effectiveness of the proposed model was verified. Therefore, in authors' opinion, the model presented in this article is a potential tool for predicting WG and has advantages over the traditional SVM model. © 2008 American Institute of Chemical Engineers Environ Prog, 2009

The effect of price is inversely proportional to the demand means that if the price of products increases demand will be decreased. In this paper, we developed a green economic production quantity (EPQ) model that considers carbon emission from production, storage and waste disposal activities, preservation technology investment, inflation, and partial backlogging into the total cost function. Especially, air pollution is becoming a major threat to industries. Due to environmental concern manufacturer incorporates sustainability issues into its production decision model to reduce carbon emissions. The objective of this approach is to develop a sustainable system that focuses on cleaner/ refiner production and the study tries to optimize the preservation technology, cycle time, and total cost function. To exemplify the availability and practicality of the proposed work a numerical example has been provided. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to examine the effect of different values of parameters on the total cost function.
