So erm yeah – 7 years late here’s the ‘final’ update I had planned for Ceb’s playing time on Vana D’ial.

Let’s start with the best job ever – DRK, I did the thing I said I wouldn’t do and completed my Ragnorok relic great sword getting it to ilvl 119 ready for reso spam seeing as scourge is not the best for outright damage. With desperate blow merit job trait active on last resort it’s basically hundred fists with a great sword, despite the negative effect on tp gain the low delay this weapon gives nothing is more fun than watching that happen. Here’s Ceb obtaining her second relic in a much shorter time than with the amazing Apoc.

I’d also been working hard on getting the best Great Sword available before realising that getting the required HMP’s would take longer than there is time left in the universe so switched the target to get Caladbolg to level 90 so that the weapon skill can be unlocked on any great sword I care to use.

Finally got the last of my relic +1 gear for DRK.

The next job I’ve been spending a lot of time on is BLU, initially I levelled it so I could solo salvage to fund my Rag building it’s actually wormed its way into my heart and I really enjoy playing it with an exceptional damage output along with some fairly respectable damage mitigation I could get through a lot of what I wanted to do solo or with trusts. Some of the highlights are below.

Another job I enjoyed playing but with abit more frustration was COR, it’s a fun job to get the best out of, unfortunately that best with Ratt is hard to do. The frustration comes from COR’s native marksmanship level being C rated or something silly and that you lack much in the way of defence means the times of either missing a ranged attack and then getting stomped over were quite frequent. But the innate fun of the job meant I kept coming back for more, maybe I was missing something fundamental to unlocking the maximum out of it. Getting lots of gear for it though to keep trying 😊

Have also got a smattering of other gear for my half competent jobs like SMN, SAM and NIN - the latter I also unlocked blade: hi which just looks so cool. For all my jobs though I got hold of the Fotia neck and belt, these are cool pieces which roll all the old sea elemental gorgets into one with some extra stats. I've had the tp effect proc quite a few times (feels like more than the listed %age on the item), so cool when you realise you can ws right again after - especially when rocking a relic. The rawhide is a very cool bodypiece I've been using with some of my jobs to help stay at ilevel 119 for my tping.

But after some sacrificing of exp we got him put into the ground;

I have no desire to do Pandimonium Warden lol. After that I was feeling {impossible to guage} so like I always do I forgot to change subjob and accidentally went into Salvage II as SAM/WAR, I thought I'd die really quickly but of course this job is so broken I completed it with the last boss taking less than 3mins to kill. I still really despise this job though;

I think I'd done 4 fights on this guy whenever login campaign's came around and somehow I managed to get lucky on one of the best pieces available in the game... also done without much in the way of TH, I do wonder if the people offering help were genuine or were just going to loot it from me if it dropped fortunately I did it solo like I normally do things!

As you can see from the above picture I've been using something which SE introduced called Lockstyle, basically you can set outfits that people see when they look at you but it is not impacted by gearswapping - it's actually a clever way of making blinkmenot from windower obsolete, I had a range of outfits I used for various jobs lol

During all the gear whoring and playing with Ceb's fashion sense I completed the last 3 storylines I had, Wings of the Goddess / Seekers of Adoulin and Rhaspsody of Vana D'iel

Doing all this meant I could get a ton of titles, I can't remember what they're all for now but I know that the first and second one would allow me to reforge Empy armor to ilvl 109 and 119 - shame most of them suck stats wise.

I've been watching alot of youtube videos from a certain player called Ruaumoko and getting this hankering to return back to Asura... not sure what I'd do jobs wise - DRK obviously, BLU & COR I'd be happy playing - then some form of tank, probably PLD as I don't think I have it in me to level RUN. Don't know though, I remember the time sink it used to be and I can't do that anymore so not sure how it would work, something to ponder anyway. Speaking of the youtuber... check the background
