Este novo cenário para as empresas e organizações exigirá diversas adaptações e ajustes nos processos que envolvam dados pessoais, um diagnóstico inicial, para verificar se estes processos estão adequados ou não a LGPD, será necessário para orientar e organizar os procedimentos. New information and communication technologies (ICTs) are contributing to the advancement and pop... more New information and communication technologies (ICTs) are contributing to the advancement and popularization of distance learning, and its use by educational institutions is accelerating. Some characteristics of distance learning are remarkable, such as its quantity, scalability, ability to serve many students at the same time, scope, lower costs, and so on. Some of these characteristics refer to a type of innovation called frugal, which is the ability to "do better with fewer resources for more people", that is, create significantly more value and minimize the use of resources. The objective of this research was to analyze the characteristics of distance learning through the theoretical lens of frugal innovation using the conceptual model of frugal innovation. The characteristics listed in the Rossetto model were researched qualitatively and quantitatively to obtain a solid conclusion, as this model uses a scale to identify and measure frugal innovation. The Rossetto model was developed and tested using the results of five collections of data from three different countries (Brazil, the United States of America, and India), with the entire development and refinement processes being subjected to an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The final validation of the scale was based on data from 1130 companies. The mixed (qualitative and quantitative) methodological procedures were used to analyze the data obtained from the field research. The qualitative analysis consisted of verifying the characteristics of frugal innovation through Rossetto's conceptual model, and exploratory factor analysis was chosen for the quantitative analysis. Ten of the characteristics of the model sought, analyzed in three dimensions, identified, and strongly indicated that ODL can be considered as a frugal innovation, convincing and confirming that ODL has as main characteristics of the FI such as cost reduction, focus on essential functionalities and improved performance in relation to face-to-face teaching and thus, highlighting that the main value created is to do better with fewer resources than traditional teaching for a greater number of students served.

The study presented in this article aims to identify what are, in fact, the social missions of co... more The study presented in this article aims to identify what are, in fact, the social missions of companies called "social companies" , and what are the benefits obtained from the use of ICTs by these companies. The research methods employed were bibliographic research and case study. The bibliographic research was elaborated from a systematic analysis and the use of a theoretical framework related to performance indicators, as proposed by Hutchinson and Molla (2009). The case study was carried out based on four social companies, with which observations were made in loco, application of interviews and analysis of the respective websites. The results indicated that the social mission of this type of company can be explained by the use of six indicators: access to markets, income generation, employment opportunities, social training, strengthening of relations with the sponsor and social outsourcing; and that these indicators require the use of ICTs to be developed. It is concluded that, if at least one of the indicators is present in these companies, ICTs can bring some kind of benefit.

We propose a method to solve an Availability and Stock Rupture problem considering static and dyn... more We propose a method to solve an Availability and Stock Rupture problem considering static and dynamic conditions. Information about failure and repair rates, dependence or independence of the blocks are considered, as well as knowledge about spare stock and Maintainability. The analysis is done, initially, using exponential processes, considering the transient solution by Matlab-Simulink. This analysis allows to evaluate the steady state solution and the main aspects that must be addressed through Discrete Event Simulation. We consider a situation in which it is possible to use two blocks, one in operation and one in the spare stock, with a single repairman. SLA (Service Level Agreement) contracts are common, which the parties involved sign and failure to comply with these contracts may result in a fine. An approach to improve the dimensioning of such systems in terms of their availability and Stock Rupture as close as possible to the real ones.

Este estudo objetiva desenvolver uma análise bibliométrica sobre a aplicação das narrativas formativas em pesquisas acadêmicas a partir de artigos sediados no Portal de Periódicos CAPES no período de 2004 a 2018 e em conjunto analisar as informações disponibilizadas pela Associação Brasileira de Pesquisa (Auto) Biográfica BIOgraph para se verificar a ampliação do uso desse método de pesquisa na comunidade cientifica brasileira nesse mesmo intervalo de tempo. Due to pandemic Covid-19, which suddenly forced people to change their habits and stay in their h... more Due to pandemic Covid-19, which suddenly forced people to change their habits and stay in their homes for several weeks, the daily routines changed, people could no longer go to work or study, physical contact should be avoided, care with personal hygiene improved and all types of crowding avoided. This causes "home office" work to skyrocket and reach significant peaks. In this way, the demand for services related to Information and Communication Technology, ICT, has grown greatly. To manage the problems caused by the lack of resources needed to transport traffic on the network, SLA (Service Level Agreement) contracts are common, which the parties involved sign (the provider and the customer). Failure to comply with these contracts may result in a fine for the party that has not fulfilled it. This work proposes an approach to improve the dimensioning of Firewalls, in terms of their availability, to establish values as close as possible to the real ones so that there is neither an underestimation nor an overestimation of commitments agreed between the actors. In addition, this work proposes a way to approach this problem in a broader way, taking into account the Dependability, that is, Availability, Reliability and Maintainability.

To achieve the objective of this study a bibliographic research was conducted to study and selection of indicators of theoretical models found. With the defined indicators was conducted a pilot with five large companies that provide for industrial manufacturers to test and evaluate the research process. In this pilot had the chance to prove the search results to the theory, the chosen production system was the automotive industry and their first-tier suppliers. It is a chain known and established for over 30 years. The IOS type can be classified sequential interdependence, the pattern of use is the exploitation, the type of network is a cluster and the main goal is to improve operational efficiency.

It aims to identify and verify the contribution of airport hubs to the most economical route operations for aviation companies. The methodological procedures adopted in this analysis include bibliographic research and empirical research, through interviews with aviation professionals to obtain information that reflects the reality at hub airports. The analysis can be justified in the search for effective factors to generate value and create competitive advantages for aviation companies. To achieve the objective of this study a bibliographic research was conducted to study and selection of indicators of theoretical models found. With the defined indicators was conducted a pilot with five large companies that provide for industrial manufacturers to test and evaluate the research process. In this pilot had the chance to prove the search results to the theory, the chosen production system was the automotive industry and their first-tier suppliers. It is a chain known and established for over 30 years. The IOS type can be classified sequential interdependence, the pattern of use is the exploitation, the type of network is a cluster and the main goal is to improve operational efficiency.

A web conferência e seus recursos têm oportunizado a realização de aulas remotas e ao vivo, num modelo onde docente e discentes se encontram no mesmo dia e horário, para promover o ensino-aprendizagem. O objetivo deste artigo é demonstrar através de relatos de funcionários da organização, e os dados fornecidos por essa empresa, os processos e métodos para descarte, movimentação, estocagem, distribuição dos diversos tipos de quimioterápicos. Foi utilizado o estudo de caso juntamente com uma pesquisa exploratória de caráter qualitativo, para a coleta e análise de dados que visa a solução dos problemas apresentados na Logística Hospitalar e Gestão da Logística Reversa de um hospital particular localizado em São Paulo. It aims to identify and verify the contribution of airport hubs to the most economical route operations for aviation companies. The methodological procedures adopted in this analysis include bibliographic research and empirical research, through interviews with aviation professionals to obtain information that reflects the reality at hub airports. The analysis can be justified in the search for effective factors to generate value and create competitive advantages for aviation companies. The strategy and business model confirm its usefulness in carrying out processes related to Hub airports.
