Machines have served the humanity starting from a simple ceiling fan to higher industrial applica... more Machines have served the humanity starting from a simple ceiling fan to higher industrial applications such as lathe drives and conveyor belts. This research work aims at providing an appropriate software based control system because it provides computer featured applications, prevents rapid signal loss, reduces noise while also significantly improves the steady state and dynamic response of the motor. In this research paper, we have worked on DC motors due to its significant advantages over other types of machine drives. In industry DC motor is widely uses for speed control and load characteristics, it's easy controllability provide effective and precise output so application of DC motor is large for commercial purpose. Speed control of DC motor is very crucial in application where required speed is precision and correcting signal representing and to operate motor at constant speed, so we used PWM method which are fulfill all requirements to speed control of DC motor. PWM based speed control system consists of electronic components (integrated circuits, Sensors etc.). In this paper, to control the speed of DC motor using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method. Microcontroller is used to generate PWM. MATLAB is used to drive the motor. Rectifier circuit is used for power supply to circuit and motor. This paper shows that precise and accurate control of small DC motors can be done efficiently without using costly components and complicated circuit.

Renewable sources of energy and related technologies are essential to the generation of energy wo... more Renewable sources of energy and related technologies are essential to the generation of energy worldwide. The photovoltaic (PV) is one of the renewable power technologies that support household electricity use. No prior research has studied the sustainability of the off-grid energy generation system in Jammu, India despite the potential of solar photovoltaics and significant amounts of global sun radiation in an area. The present work shown in the chapter is to calculate the residential load of the Patyari Kaltan situated in district Samba of Jammu by energy auditing. The NASA Surface Meteorology is used for the solar resource informationof selected village. The primary sources of electricity generation are fossil fuels. Recently, the energy demand and availability deficit has worsened due to the huge population and fossil fuels cannot fulfill huge energy requirement. Meanwhile they have negative impacts on the environment as well. Therefore, renewable energy offers suitable energy way out to the residents living in remote areas and in the areas near to Borders. In this paper the main aim is to examine the feasibility of solar-battery hybrid energy system to fulfill electrical demand of a residential area in a rural region in Jammu. The research shows that the cost of construction of the project can be repaid or recovered within 1 year 6 months. To accomplish the target, 214 solar panels of 325 watt are estimated to satisfy the demand 100 percent at all times. The findings of this modeling reveal that the off-grid PV system is both technical and economically viable for power generation; they may serve as a model for the successful development of the system for practical use. Furthermore, the model can promote assistance mechanisms for players in the renewable industry to introduce a PV system in residential buildings.

Certain parameters of the module decreases the overall efficiency of the module. These parameters include temperature, soiling, tilt angle. As the temperature increases the output current increases exponentially voltage decreases linearly. To overcome these problems simple,robust,cheap techniques are used to increase overall efficiency of the module.These techniques include MPPT,temperature control, nanowire solar cells and varying tilt angle in summer and winter seasons.

The solar panel can be used either as a stand-alone system or as a large solar system that is connected to the electricity grids. The earth receives 84 Terawatts of power and our world consumes about 12Terawattsof power supply per day. We are trying to consume more energy from the sun using solar panel. In order to maximize the conversion from solar to electrical energy, the solar panels have to be positioned perpendicular to the sun. Thus the tracking of the sun's location and positioned of the solar panel are important. This paper aim is to design a tracking system, which can locate the position of the sun. The Tracking system will move the solar panel so that it is positioned perpendicular to the sun for maximum energy conversion at all time. Photo resistors will be used as sensors in this system. The system will consist of light sensing system, microcontroller, gear motor system, and a solar panel. Our system will output up to 40%more energy than solar panels without tracking systems.

As a result, the system must be safe and dependable from generation through distribution, with a continuous power supply required from generation to consumer end. However, several variables may disrupt the power supply regulations, resulting in system failure or collapse. When the system is functioning in a steady-state condition, the parameters Bus voltage and Frequency magnitude are kept within the level to prevent these defects and failures. This is known as power system security. The required power supply without interruptions saves our domestic equipment and increases the overall performance of the system. Some of the factors that affect our power system like Poor power quality can also cause issues with electromagnetic compatibility and noise. It can cause sophisticated protective systems to malfunction or fail, as well as key control and communication systems to malfunction or fail. Connected power demands, such as lighting, heating, and motors, are less sensitive to fluctuations in supply voltage and more sensitive to supply availability (absence of interruptions). Electronic or digital equipment, on the other hand, is more sensitive to fluctuations in supply voltages. Voltage fluctuation, harmonic distortion, voltage imbalance, flicker, supply interruptions, voltage sags, voltage swells, and transients, among other things, all have an impact on power quality. The system’s load requirement is completed by balancing between real and reactive power. various power problems are generated in the power grid because of long power transmissions such as trees falling on line, snowfall, lightning strokes, and flooding with the equipment failure may happen. These power problems may affect the technological power devices that generated faulty distribution systems with some electrical noise. Like hissing noise, corona, and line losses also. So, from this, we prevent system failure and uninterrupted power supply by using some monitoring and controlling methods and providing fine power to our smart grid this helps us to maintain electrical power and sustainability for a reliable electrical power system.
