_5:12 am_[selfamused] | So I Says...I'm Such An Action Figure Nerd! Thursday I was at Tower Records and saw this action figure which is one of my favorite cheesy movies ever! It's one of the evil clowns from the movie, "Killer Klowns From Outer Space!"This movie would make anyone scared shitless of clowns...almost as much as the movie "IT"...just look at how creepy they look...I'd suggest to anyone who might like cheesy movies, and hasn't seen this one yet, to go out and find it and watch it. It's awesomely bad! Current Mood: cold (Comment on this) |

_9:02 pm_[dearest_mommy] | I am looking for the titles of these horror films I used to watch as a kid on Saturday thriller double features starting at noon on Saturdays in the late 70s /early 80s (they also showed movies such as Daughters of Darkness and Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things). The first one has campers in the woods being killed off by a hag who dwells in the woods- the end has the campers making a booby-trap for the woman where once triggered it impales her with a VERY large wooden stake that goes through her middle. Also at the end you see her muddy face for the first time as she dies. The second one I can remember very little details of except that it involves women being put into a cage and dumped multiple times in water (at a waterfront) if they are believed to be witches by the townsfolk…I think all the characters were dressed like Quakers so the setting might be a few hundred years ago. Last one- this was on cable in the 80s- it has at the very end people running out of a collapsing building and also shows a creature with blue skin, maybe purple, in a grim reaper outfit and a forehead that looks as though it had a rapidly beating heart underneath it. If anyone could give me some suggestions I would be very appreciative, I have been looking for these titles for years. X-posted (Comment on this) |

All are strongly encouraged, but not required, to come in costume – a Shock-A-Go-Go tradition! Saturday night will feature a “come dressed as Elvira” costume contest benefiting AIDS research.Past reviews of Shock-A-Go-Go festivals describe the anarchic celebration as:“Messy…frightening…eerie…rude, unruly, and anarchical …[a] nonstop scarathon.”– LA New Times“[Shock-A-Go-Go is a] grueling gross-a-thon [that] didn’t disappoint, especially when the overnighters, sipping alcohol out of colostomy bags, began to talk to the screen, a la Mystery Science Theatre 3000.”- L. A. _8:04 am_[keeblerjesus] | In trying to think of a cheesy movie for discussion.. only one came to mind. Phantasm.. lol. it is one of my favorites. Took lots of repression to forget that one. soo.. I shall be talking about it.. the best part of the movie is that these people go to this dimension and when they come back to earth, they are shrunken because of the immense gravity there! heh. well, aside from that and the HAMMERING A TACK INTO A SHOTGUN SHELL this was a fairly sensible movie.. sorta.. the tall man? what kinda cheese was this director smoking before writing this script. heh. _4:32 am_[keeblerjesus] | since I just joined and there have not been a whole lot of posts of late.. I suppose I shall post something about a cheesy movie that I saw a few minutes of last night (yesterday morning).."The Incredible Melting Man".. no idea what decade.. no idea what author.. but nonetheless, as far as cheesy movies, this one was primo. the latex job on the main character was absolutely and undeniably fake. all that I really saw was about five minutes of the "incredible" melting man chasing innocents who prolly misunderstood him as a human being.. lol. The plot was apparently (according to time warner) "An astronaut gets blasted into space and goes through some harsh radiation in space and when he gets back to earth, he starts melting".. or something like that. overall, I give it a B+ on the cheesy movie scale.Does anyone watch Space Ghost? It is great. He has these armbands that have 6 buttons and dependant on which combination he pushes, he has different super powers.. the math on that equals out to about 720 superpowers that he can access.. lol. my friend and I determined that he has the super power to counteract any other super power for which he has a super power... I realize this is a loop. lol.-EugEnE- (3 Comments |Comment on this) |
