In an area designated for this purpose, various experiments were carried out on the topic of locating leaks. First, the speakers of the Federal College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology provided important basic background information on the physical-technical relationship.

Review: Demonstration details

As part of the experiments, capillary leaks of different sizes were positioned in a water basin and thus different leak rates were visualized. In this way, the mathematical approach was confirmed directly in the experiment.
In additon, various test options for functioning leak detectors were presented as well as their handling demonstrated. A leak detector is an essential component for successful leak detection and its function can be proven with test leaks or test gases.
