It allows JavaScript, Flash, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking site, mitigating remotely exploitable vulnerabilities including Spectre and Meltdown. It protects your "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS), cross-zone DNS rebinding / CSRF attacks (router hacking), and Clickjacking attempts. Such a preemptive approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality where you need it. NoScript is the smartest add-on any end user can have. It takes control over your browser back for you from advertisers and and anyone else. Stopping them from showing you things you don't want to see. Say goodbye to everything you've been forced to look at when surfing the net. NoScript puts you are in control of what you see, hear, and allow into your computer. And NoScript developed by Giorgio Maone. is the original script blocker all others are based on.
