COLLEGE CLASSES ARE CANCELLED!!!
My friend called and she said there was a message on the answer machine that said all college classes are closed.
Still no CUNY Alert ....
Suggestions for the LJ CCNY community

I know that there are probably not very many CCNY students on LJ but for the few that are, what are some things I should do to make the community better?

Is anyone interested in starting a women's rugby club at CCNY? I am thinking more of trying to start this next semester or so but it would be great to gage interest.

Hi everyone! I've been accepted as an international transfer student this fall, but I can't afford it yet so I've postponed it to the coming spring. I'll start my sophomore year. I'm 20 years old, female, from Norway. I'm quite familiar with New York (I attended a Norwegian school there for one semester last year), but I don't really know anyone there and I'm obviously new to CCNY.
I'm hoping to major in Film and Video Production, but we'll see if I get in. Any of you majoring, or planning to major, in that? If yes, maybe I could ask you some more specific questions?
I'm very excited about moving back to New York, but also very nervous about not knowing what to expect at CCNY.

The CCNY Bookstore has updated the website! Now you can search for your Fall 2009 Books on the bookstore website.
I recommend using Amazon.com or Half.com for books (cheaper) but it's good to get an idea on what books you'll probably need for the class.

Hey everyone (all.... 3 of us?),
I have two questions.
One. When you entered as a freshman (assuming you did), when did you get your financial aid information? I had to update more FAFSA stuff, and they haven't sent me anything yet. Obviously I need it before May 1st, and the deadline is getting pretty close.... Also, how was the aid you received? My family and I need quite a bit...
Two. So, there are no meal plans? I'm relying almost entirely on financial aid, and I have no idea what I'm going to do if I can't find a job in the city, or even worse if I don't have time/energy to keep a job. No one is starving, right?
