UNIDENTIFIED TRACKS FROM THE GOLDEN AGE OF COLLEGE RADIO (original) (raw)

We need your ears...

Show For Children host Spookyrat has been on a quest to discover new music from old CKUT broadcasts that his dad recorded. Problem is, the obscurity on these tracks is a force to be reckoned with.

Do you recognize the artists of any of these tracks? Please let us know.

An experimental new-age track taped off a late show in 1993/1994 meant to fill in airtime:

@sludgemilitant

A beautiful folk song from Francis et les Exercises in 1995:

@sludgemilitant

A minimalist synthesizer drone taken from an old CKUT show “Lunadic Wax” from 1995:

Who is the hero that shall bestow the identity due unto these unsung avant-garde artists? Please write music@ckut.ca if you have any clues.
