- Things are as busy as ever, and here is what we've been up to lately. Today we're looking at a shipment of chemotherapy drugs. Vital medicines that help people fight the toughest fight, specifically against skin and white blood cell cancers. It's pretty heavy, not just in weight but also in terms of how much of an impact it can make in people's lives. The core of it all starts from the blue cold box, which if you have been following us for a while, you would know that we have used them quite a lot in recent shipments. Our team first laser-checked it to make sure its internal temperature was within the range. The inside of the blue box has this special blue insulation on its walls, as well as a data logger to log and keep it all on point temperature-wise. Extremely crucial when it comes to a long-haul shipment from Hong Kong to Sao Paulo like the one we are doing here. We see ourselves as a critical link in the healthcare supply chain. Our brand's legacy has always been about delivering your life-saving products safe and sound. And that's also what fuels us to push for higher standards daily. Message us if you want us to consign your next shipment.
- Sometimes, you're not just worried about keeping your pharmaceuticals cold; you've also got to worry about making sure it doesn't leak toxic chemicals. Look at one of our Vitamin D compound shipments early on, not only did it need temperature control, it also happened to be considered "Dangerous Goods" under IATA regulations. You would need to get two types of specialized packaging to work together. The blue box (Koolar Box) is all about keeping things cold - in this case, it's down to -20°C, as we see in the image. It's called a thermal passive packaging solution for a good reason as it can work on its own without needing a power supply. The walls of the KoolarBox are packed with high-performance insulation materials that work to keep the cold in. Now, you need specially designed DG packaging that is sturdy, tough, and durable to prevent leaks or spills and handle hazards. It has to meet really strict standards set by IATA, with clear hazard labels on it as well as all the right documentation required. Layers of protection, inside and out. Had you messed up either one, you could have ended up jeopardizing the whole shipment. Trust NAF Pharma's years of expertise in handling complex shipments like this and we look forward to talking about your next one.
- Recombinant antibodies are basically laboratory-created antibodies, like the ones our bodies naturally produce to fight off infections, but are produced through genetic engineering, and commonly used in targeted therapies for diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. Manufacturing these antibodies is complex and expensive. Transferring them, often across continents, is equally challenging and demanding. We recently managed a critical airfreight shipment of these antibodies from Switzerland to Hong Kong, a consistent -60°C to -80°C range maintained using specialized thermal packaging with dry ice, and monitored the conditions very closely with data loggers. When the stake of your biopharmaceutical products is so high that you cannot afford to compromise, NAF Pharma stands out with its years of solid track records, niched biopharmaceutical logistics expertise, robust temperature-controlled transportation and storage facilities, and well-trained personnel. All that makes us a go-to choice for your next high-stakes biopharmaceutical shipment. Drop us a message to discuss further.
- Look who's decking our hall. A frosty-white tree stands tall. Although cold-chain is cold, our hearts are warm, and Merry Christmas to you all!
- Following a period of sustained hard work, our Beijing Branch has achieved #GDP (Good Distribution Practice) certification. This validates our capability to handle pharmaceutical products according to the highest international standards, particularly in managing different temperature requirements - from standard refrigeration to complex dry ice and nitrogen handling processes, and the ability to offer preconditioning services. This important milestone not only strengthens our offering for existing clients who use our specialist cold chain transportation networks but will also build trust with new partners who need reliable temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics. Contact NAF Pharma today - We’re here to safeguard your next life-saving shipment.
- Many molecules show promise in the early stages of drug development, but very few of them can make it to becoming viable APIs.#Cyclopentanediol, with its ability to interact with biological targets and its modifiable structure, is a fascinating molecule and has huge potential that goes beyond its current applications. For shipping, it must be kept cool and dry, within a temperature range of 15–25°C, known as the industry benchmark for many pharmaceutical products, including this compound. For more detailed guidance, I'd recommend checking with our sales specialist. Drop us a message and we will be with you shortly.
- A Culture Medium is like food and a home for tiny living things like bacteria or cells. Just like how food can spoil easily when stored improperly, Culture Media needs to stay at specific temperatures too. Too hot or cold, it can basically "go bad" and become useless for growing cells. A good way to keep culture media in optimal condition is to maintain a temperature range of 2-8°C, and that's exactly why we use va-Q-tec packaging solutions to secure our recent Culture Medium shipment from Shanghai, China to Eastern Europe. Follow NAF Pharma to stay updated on more interesting cold-chain shipments like this.
- Temperature control is never something we take lightly. That's been our position from the start, and it will remain so. The mission today is to safeguard a VIVENCIA PATCH 27MG from South Korea to San Paulo, Brazil. Thousands of shipments have taught us what works and what won't. So when it comes to VIVENCIA PATCH, we know we could rely on Dupont Tyvek's W50/W10 combination, a precision-engineered thermal solution where the W50 top cover shields against searing heat whereas the W10 bottom layer blocks ground warmth. Elitech Loget-1K monitors and logs every temperature fluctuation within the critical +15°C to +25°C range. No ifs, no buts. Just like any other critical temperature-sensitive shipment, as long as it's under our watch, you could still sleep like a baby.
- Active temperature-controlled containers have advanced significantly in recent years.DoKaSch Temperature Solutions Opticooler RAP E2 is one of the most notable innovations in this space. Unlike passive systems that rely on PCMs or gel-based solutions, active systems like the RAP E2 are autonomous and capable of maintaining a steady temperature regardless of the journey’s length or external conditions. Take our recent shipment of Fulvestrant injections (an injectable treatment for breast cancer) from Shanghai to Frankfurt for example. Powered by an internal cooling and heating system, these temperature-sensitive treatments were able to withstand long distances and stayed within optimal conditions throughout, without needing external power. They also come equipped with a real-time data logger that captures temperature history, which is crucial for regulatory compliance and audit purposes (GDP and GMP) As the pharmaceutical industry continues to evolve, so too must its logistics solutions. Your investment in secure and robust temperature-controlled systems like RAP E2 will surely pay off. Contact our specialist to learn more details.
- Complex and technical concepts could be turned into an engaging and interactive experience - if you know how to tell a good story and make learning fun. Today's story starts with ice cream and how its journey from factory to freezer stays frozen and safe. How could they stay frozen? What kept it that way? How do we know if they have been spoiled during transit? Tommy decided to give it a shot and took on the challenge of explaining GPS loggers and thermal packaging to a class of 4-year-olds. Sure, these kids are still far from knowing what "temperature deviation" means, but they certainly have got their first taste of pharmaceutical logistics. Learning knows no age, and innovation starts with wide-eyed wonder. Proud to be part of a company that believes in nurturing tomorrow's cold-chain experts.
