ABSTRACT Submillimeter-length, monolithic, Fabry-Perot-cavity lasers were fabricated from the sto... more ABSTRACT Submillimeter-length, monolithic, Fabry-Perot-cavity lasers were fabricated from the stoichiometric neodymium compound, Lithium Neodymium Tetraphosphate (LNP) and pumped via close-coupling to the output facet of a high-power, diode-laser array. TEM00 output powers in excess of 80 mW near 1047 nm and 26 mW near 1317 nm were obtained at a diode laser power level of 240 mW. Greater than 15 mW of single longitudinal mode output at 1047 nm was also observed.

Abstract We report room-temperature operation of an all solid-state, continuous-wave Cr2+: ZnSe l... more Abstract We report room-temperature operation of an all solid-state, continuous-wave Cr2+: ZnSe laser. The laser was pumped by a Tm: YALO laser operating at 1940 nm. Demonstrated Cr: ZnSe laser results include: output power of 380 mW, an absorbed power slope efficiency of 63%, an absorbed power threshold as low as 98 mW, and continuous tunability from 2138 to 2760 nm. All Cr: ZnSe laser crystals were prepared by the diffusion doping technique.

TEM00 output powers in excess of 80 mW near 1047 nm and 26 mW near 1317 nm were obtained at a diode laser power level of 240 mW. The laser was pumped by a Tm: YALO laser operating at 1940 nm. Demonstrated Cr: ZnSe laser results include: output power of 380 mW, an absorbed power slope efficiency of 63%, an absorbed power threshold as low as 98 mW, and continuous tunability from 2138 to 2760 nm.
