Reading About Ranch JForum (Wiki forum at Coderanch) (original) (raw)
JavaRanch/CodeRanch made a fork of jforum.net "pure" JForum. We've written a number of articles on the topic including:
- About our migration from the old software to JForum
- Interview about our yearlong process to move
- How we migrated our data to JForum
- Ernest's humorous description of the migration
- Solving a threading problem that turns out to be an issue in the pure JForum source as well.
- Writing integration tests for JForum
- Public announcement of the impending transition
We've also tried to release a significant feature each year on January 3rd - Jumping JForum Day. Other features get released throughout the year.
