Biography
Playing for Hall of Fame coach Adolph Rupp at Kentucky, Ramsey was a three-time All-SEC selection and a two-time All-American. Nicknamed "Kentucky Colonel", he excelled in pressure situations and became one of the greatest "6th men" in the history of the game. Ramsey helped lead the Wildcats to the 1951 NCAA Championship and to a perfect 25-0 season in 1954. Playing for the Boston Celtics, Ramsey came off the bench to average 13.4 points per game and help lead the Celtics to seven NBA Championships.
