Colorado Weddings (original) (raw)

I just had my wedding in Boulder and I want to let anyone planning a wedding in Colorado know that Alpine Audio Visual of Boulder did NOT show up as contracted. I have gotten no information from them, no excuse, no explanation. My wedding coordinator called them the Monday before the wedding to touch base and they never got back to her. I had no amplification for my ceremony and no sound equipment for the reception. It was horrible. Our coordinator scrambled at the last minute and found a DJ willing to come out for a few hours, and they rocked. But Alpine Audio Visual did not show up. Buyer beware.

Other amazing vendors I used were:

Ooh La La Fleur of Boulder. Fabulous florist who really worked with me to get beautiful flowers within my budget.

A Grande Finale Patisserie in Louisville. Yummy cake!

JA Special Events. Our day-of wedding coordinator, Jessica Adler, saved the day. She was amazing, getting that DJ out at the last minute AND getting him to reduce his fee by nearly 50%! Our day would have really sucked without her.

The Red Lion. We had our ceremony and reception at The Red Lion restaurant in Boulder Canyon. The food was amazing; a lot of guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. They were really helpful, did everything we asked, and made the day as wonderful as it could have been. The setting is gorgeous and the price was amazing!

Cellidoscope Cello Quartet. I didn't hear most of the music they played for the ceremony, since I was hiding away waiting for the grand entrance, but I heard from many guests that they were lovely. Cellidoscope arranged three songs especially for us (Yellowcard, Weezer and Foo Fighters) to make the ceremony unique. Their fee was low, comparitively, but I think it's gone up since we hired them. Still, they were great.

Amanda's Bridal. Great bridal shop in Arvada. I got my dress and alterations there and had no problems.
