Photography quandry:

Okay, so my original plan was to get a Canon 30D body, and get the Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.0 lens to go with it. Almost assuredly better quality than the standard Canon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 that comes in the kit, and faster to boot. The two combined, from B&H, would run me $1458.

However, as of today I have discovered that Abe's of Maine (another reputable seller) has a deal going on where I could get the 30D with the 18-55 lens, and a Canon 55-200 f4.5-5.6 lens as well, for $1298.

Abe's Deal Pros:

- I would have two lenses to work with, which would save me carrying around my Lumix FZ-50 (which is a 35-420), which is a nice, lighter weight option. (though I'd probably still take both to my fast-approaching trip to Switzerland)
- Cheaper

Abe's Deal Cons:

- The lenses, while Canon, are likely relatively low quality (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
- Having two lenses means I'll be more likely to do more lens switching, which will dramatically increase the chance of getting dust on the sensor.
- Neither lens has image stabilization

B&H Pros:

- Higher quality, faster lens
- Less gear to carry around/keep track of

B&H Cons:

- Without carrying around my Lumix, I am limited to a much smaller range than I am used to.
- More expensive

So. Advice? I'm honestly stuck, here.
