And so, Nation closed. The last club in the District that I have been going to for 15 years. I went to the closing night of Alchemy at Nation. I've been going to Alchemy for 10 years, give or take, since it was at The Cage, which is now the Black Cat. (for those in the DC/MD/VA area). I still have a piece of the original flooring of the first Alchemy. Here's what the club looked like Thursday :
