random question about Cory/Shawn's relationship	[25 May 2011|02:22am]
This is a completely random question that mostly applies to the first few seasons of the show, when their friendship is focused on more than the romance.We often see Cory's loyalty to Shawn illustrated, but do we really see Shawn's in return? I was thinking of the finals episode in season 3 or 4 where he stands up to the guys who vandalize Feeny's house in protest of their exam schedule, but that's more loyalty to Feeny (awesome episode, by the way).I think it's obvious they care about each other, but I'm just trying to think if we're ever shown *why* Cory cares for Shawn. I could just be over thinking this though. I know there's that episode where Shawn's girlfriend forbids them from seeing one another, but all I remember from that episode is the awesomely slashy undertones.

[ **mood** | okay ] Was anyone else sorely disappointed to learn we weren't getting any special features with season 4? For years I've been waiting for a DVd release, which would hopefully come with an explanation for anthony Tyler Quinn's abrupt disappearance from the show. My season 2 DVDs died a sad death thanks to my brothers and a road trip, so I've never seen the commentaries that came with that set. I'm hoping there's an explanation there, but I'm not holding my breath.I also assumed, since Matt Lawrence is randomly in a few of the early season commentaries that ones were recorded for later seasons. I'm hoping we'll eventually have access to those features, but since the show is being released by a different company, I'll just have to appreciate the fact it's being released at all.

Big mammoth cap dump! Basically been capping the whole series. Very Shawn-centric as that was what was requested, but there's plenty of everything. First up is S2 (followed by S4, S5, S6, S7 and S1 and 3 once I've found decent sized avis of some of my missing episodes. Oh, and some misc movies and tv show appearances from the cast, which I'll stick links to on the end of whichever season I finish last, rather than flood these comms.) [ **mood** | awake ] The 2008 film that Rider Strong and his brother, Shiloh Strong, wrote, directed and starred in was shown at the Tribeca film festival and sounds interesting. It's called "Irish Brothers." It got pretty good reviews when it was screened, but doesn't seem to be showing signs of getting distributed any time soon, if at all. Did anybody see it or (even better) have a link to it?Thanks.
