Hi now! I'm considering doing CLI in 2007. As 2006 is my CTY Nevermore year, I want to do that for two sessions. Anyway, moving onto CLI and the real purpose of this post.I'm enrolled into the IB [link] program which, like National Honors Society, requires you do around 150 hours of community service. Has anyone else done CLI for IB? If so, how many hourse credit you get? The catalog says it ranges anywhere from 20-100 hours depending on school/program. Thanks!

so, my name is leah, and i'm sixteen, and i was a CTYer for seven years and eleven sessions.i'm looking to go to an artsy college and i've been checking out wesleyan, stanford, cal-arts, etc.this summer after junior year is supposed to be way important, and i'd like to spend some of it at CLI because i've heard that it's out of this world. i was totally comfortable with the structure of CTY and apparently, CLI is that with a little more freedom and community service. it sounds so great for me.so basically, i'm just wondering if anyone can give me some general info on it, like if i have to submit any new scores to get in, which site(s) it's offered at, how long it is, etc.and also the experience, i guess. did you love it? did you make tons of friends? will i?i'm just feeling a lot of pressure to make the right decision about this summer, and i want to know if this is something i should go for.thanks for your help :)

If you dont know who i am already, im deanna and attended cli this summer.Okay, i want you to hear me out and respond if you're in the same postion i am as of late.NO ONE IS TAKING ME SERIOUSLY!Ive talked to friends and they roll they eyes, i tell my mom i want to major in international and urban studies and she gives me "the no way in hell look" and i try to talk to adults about my views on powerover/with and the war and they are completely grounded in thier opinions.why?1. im only seventeen2. Im bringing to light some problems that people ignore and therefore feel uncomfortable talking about3. im just an "idealist"This is why progress is so slow, people like this. Please tell me im not the only one fusterated.
