[Current Location |in front of the computer, duh!] [mood deviousdevious] [music currently none]Hey guys! i love horses so much, but unfortunately i don't have the time or money to own one of my own. one day as i was randomly searching the word "horses" on google, this link popped up for a site called Howrse, com its a game where you can own and take care of your own virtual horses. you start with one horse and 2000 dollars. you take care of you horse and after it grows up you can breed it to other horses. just like in real life! you can take you horse on rides, or enter it in competitions. You can open you own Equestrian Center, or start a Breeding Farm! you also have to take Riding Level Tests to get a job. Riding Level Tests, test you knowledge of horses, and get harder each time you take one. there are also auctions, and private sales where you can buy and sell horses for game money. There are forums where you can ask questions and meet really nice players. You can even personalize you page however you want to! and the best part is that it's free! all the best parts of owning a horse, without leaving the comforts of you home, and it's no money at all! It may sound childish, but i've been playing for 215 days, and i'm totally hooked! You should at least check it out! if you join, e-mail me, or post a comment here with you new user name, and i'll send you a message on there! Hope the people who can't afford this check it out! it's really great! Oh, and if they ask if you had a sponsor, please say it was me! my user name is the same on there, mickeymouse999. thanks! -mickeymouse999

[Current Location |my roon gettin ready for a hard earned night's sleep] [mood gloomygloomy] [music Nickleback, so far away]So (glorious me) i did a total face plant taking my arab over fences the other week: he wanted to canter an i wanted to keep him at a trot because we haven't run courses outdoors in months- so i wouldnt give him his head and he just went above the bit and rushed them. Now i'm freaked to hack out with him. Anybody got ideas?

Starting Drafts Under Saddle [Jul. 11th, 2006|08:31 pm]For all the equestrians =D
[**mood** |chipperchipper]Does anyone know how old a draft colt (e.g. Percheron) should be before he is ridden?I had heard that they could be started earlier than other body types because of their massive bone structure. Is it true?I am interested in purchasing and traing a draft or draft-cross colt from the beggining to the [grand prix jumping and dressage ;)] end.But I don't know whether to check out yearlings or just two-year-olds.Thankies!

[**mood** |amusedamused]A cop was on his horse waiting to cross the street when alittle girl on her new shiny bike stopped beside him."Nice bike," the cop said. "Did Santa bring it to you?""Yep," the little girl said, "he sure did!"The cop looked the bike over and handed the girl a $5 ticketfor a safety violation. The cop said, "Next year tell Santa to put a reflector lighton the back of it."The young girl looked up at the cop and said, "Nice horseyou've got there sir. Did Santa bring it to you?""Yes, he sure did," chuckled the cop.The little girl looked up at the cop and said,"Next year tell Santa the di#% goes underneath the horse, noton top."mm u thought i share that
