Has anyone heard any of the new songs of the (pushed back several times) new album by Mos Def, "Tru3 Magic"? I've heard a few and like most of 'em, although I am not sure of his criticism of U2 and Bono in "Katrina Clap" since both Bono and The Edge have done stuff for the people in New Orleans, regardless of colour.Next up, I wanna ask if anyone has any opions on the new yet-to-be-released material by Talib Kweli (new album "Eardrum" now drops in january) and Jay-Z (new album "Kingdom Come" now drops in December)Also... bear with me as there's no de la soul community... I just purchased their album that came out today called "Impossible Mission" and I haven't heard it yet... but does anyone out there have anything to say about the new album? Have ya heard any new tracks? In inside cover is weird because there's only pics of two of the members (no Maseo) I can't wait to give it a listen.Winter 2006 has sooooo many new hip hop albums coming out it's INSANE. I only mentioned a few here....Applogies if you find this off-topic at all but I really want to hear what people have to say out there about these new releases. Thanks.

[ mood \| annoyed ] Mos Def was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct Thursday night (August 31) after giving an unauthorized performance in front of New York City's Radio City Music Hall during the MTV Video Music Awards. I just watched Lackawanna Blues yesterday afternoon...its pretty good and I had not heard much about it before. The scenes with Mos singing at the jazz club are pretty bad ass...
