Hi, I am new to this community, so I'll start by introducing myself!

What do you love about sleeping beauty?: I love every part of it! I think it deserves more love than it usually gets. The animation is really beautiful; it might not be the high tech ones that cartoons nowadays have, but it has a sort of unusual elegance and class. The music is good, and I really, really, really like the characters, and the general drawing.
Favourite character: Aurora. She is pretty, cheeky, elegant, and has a very good singing voice. Maleficent is another of my favourites, because she is cunning, classy, and evil.
Favourite song: Once upon a dream.
Do you prefer the pink dress or blue dress, and why?: I like the pink one; familiarity suits me. But really, I like her peasant garb most of them all. Especially when she holds the basket and the shawl too.
Anything else: I really do not like the new version of Aurora for the new line-up. Her facial structure is completely different; the angle and height of her cheekbones, as well as her expression, is weird, and makes her face look not as nice as the original. Neither is the one on the website particularly appealing to me. It is just my opinion though; I think it is because I really liked the movie's animation, so I do not quite like it when they changed her face so much!

What do you love about Sleeping Beauty: The beautiful scenes music and characters. It's very grand, genuine and romantic. I love that Phillip has to fight for her.
Favorite character: Aurora and Phillip.

Do you prefer the pink or blue dress, and why? I do love the blue dress on her. However, l ike the Briar Rose outfit the best!

What do you love about Sleeping Beauty: Everything! The music, the animation, the characters. Plus, Maleficent's a bamf.
Favorite character: Maleficent or Aurora.
Favorite Song: I Wonder. I also love the score when Aurora's hypnotized.
Do you prefer the pink or blue dress, and why? Make it blue! I mean, pink's my favorite color, but the blue really does look better on her.
Anything else? I've...actually written fanfic for the movie. Because it's just not fair that Maleficent and Aurora didn't really get to interact much, so I had some fun imagining how that would have worked out. If you're interested, I've written two stories--one's here, and the other is here. They're a wee bit dark.

Do you prefer the pink or blue dress, and why? Blue. I prefer it because she never seems to be wearing it in any of the promotional photos. So, yeah.

For my first real post, I present scans of the packaging of the long out of print soundtrack CD to Sleeping Beauty! <333333 It was purchased for me as a present for some graphic design services. It's in beautiful condition. You could barely tell it'd ever even been opened.
Anyhoo, I've scanned the entire booklet, the CD, and the back. I don't usually scan entire booklets, but this one was so nice I kinda had to.
Here's a closer look at the text from the final booklet scan. It offers some notes about this particular soundtrack CD release.

What do you love about Sleeping Beauty: The romance, the art, the music... she was my favorite as a kid and she's my favorite now. The movie was the only movie from Disney that, as a kid, I could laugh, be afraid, feel romantic, sing to, dance to... it was positively enchanting.
Favorite character: Aurora
Favorite Song: I Wonder/Hail to the Princess Aurora
Do you prefer the pink or blue dress, and why?: The blue--I always thought she looked best in it, and it just rings classic to me. When I see her in the pink dress she seems like such a tool to me--wearing pink to appeal to little girls, but when she's in blue, she's a princess.
Anything else?: Yeah, I'm excited to be here, because it's always so nice to meet people who love the same things as you!

What do you love about Sleeping Beauty: Specific- the gift giving sequences at the beginning. Beside that, I just love the story entirely.
Favorite character: Aurora, of course. She's so beautiful and her lovely voice.
Favorite Song: Once Upon a Dream
Do you prefer the pink or blue dress, and why? I'd have to say the pink dress, it seems more fitting of a princess. But, I think they should've compromised and made purple ^.^
Anything else? I'm still battling between who is my favorite princess, Aurora or Belle. I love them both so much.

Hi. New girl to the community. But I was wondering if anyone had icons of Aurora porcelain-like when she was sleeping in the tower, Aurora in the pink dress dancing with Prince Phillip, and Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora dancing on the clouds, and kissing at the very end. Tell me who to credit and I will if I use them. Thanks!

What do I love about Sleeping Beauty: I feel it's the best fairy tale Disney ever put to the screen.
Favorite Character: Princess Aurora, and I have a special place in my heart for Prince Phillip.
Favorite Song: "Once Upon a Dream" by Mary Costa and Bill Shirley of course!
Do I prefer the pink or blue dress?: Pink. Because when I was litlle, I watched this movie often with my older sister. and this one time when we watched it, it was the very end of the movie where the fairies are switching Aurora's dress from blue to pink. And just as the film ended, I bet my sister that the dress would stay pink as the story book closed. And I won. I'll never for get that day. I actually beat my sister at something!
