It is a bit off topic but has any of you any references or knowledge on 563 - lotio manuum?

Greetings all,

I think it would be rather interesting also to monitor the impact of specific religious leaders on their groups. Much can be said about this subject, and thus it could create a very interesting sociological thesis.

I think it would be good to debate the methods of magick and see which are:

a) "mumbo jumbo" (for instance distorted names on duplicated talismans, corrupted manuscripts wrongly translated etc. etc.)

b) "tradition" (meaning that they may have lost their magical import but still plays a ridiculously important role (as for instance drawing the pentagrams in the right direction, going in the right direction in a temple etc. etc.))

Further it would be interesting to see how success is rated in occultism in relation to how it is rated in science. Where does the criterias meet and where do they differ?

I trust we will begin this journey with several initatives – where this following is but one of hopefully many paths we’ll travel in this project. I think we should do a two month period of brainstorming. Brainstorming in a broad sense of the word as putting out as many suggestions as possible but still with enough timespand to reflect on whatever is suggested. This work is not meant to be critizised to the ground – but to be a creative process. It would be a place where weat and flowers will grow side by side – at least for the period mentioned. Then I suggest a following period where we take up subjects that seems relevant for further investigation and then ‘turn our eyes to the looking glass’ of those subjects in specific. This could easily be followed by another period of brainstorming and so forth.
