Kicked Out tells our collective stories of survival, weaving together descriptions of abuse, and homelessness with poignant accounts of the ways in which the queer community offered sanctuary, and the power and importance of creating our own chosen families etc. Kicked Out offers advice and wisdom to the queer youth of today from former queer youth who have survived. Hello, everyone. I'm a new member, and decided to introduce myself.My name is Kaley, and I am 15 going on 16 (August 11). I've always felt strongly against ageism, I guess being a high school journalism student does that to you. Especially living in such a conservative area. *gags.* I'm an 11th grade vegetarian, and a liberal living in a conservative community. Fun, right? I'm extremely open and opinionated, which can be either a good or a bad thing (mostly good, in my opinion). Well.. I guess that sums me up. :D Sentiments:  bouncy |

| Youth Rights Icontest! If there are any icon-makers in the community, I challenge you to use your creative skills to create an icon for the community, and for youth rights supporters in general. The winner's icon will be used as the community's official icons. It is up to you if you want others to use your icons outside the community or Livejournal in general. The icons can be of people known to support youth rights, inspiring quotations, combinations of those, or anything else you can think of that would have to do with youth rights.I look forward to seeing your contributions! |
