 movie_greats is a totally new community for discussing movies made up to the end of the 1970s. We discuss all types of movies from that era, and not just Hollywood movies. From Billy Wilder to Polanski, from Busby Berkeley to Hitchcock, from Cecil B. de Mille to Stanley Kubrick. Plus all the stars – Garbo, Cagney, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, Louise Brooks, Audrey Hepburn, Bogart, Harlow, Brando, James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Sean Connery, etc. We talk about musicals, crime movies, film noir, screwball comedies, French New Wave, British movies, Italian movies, science fiction movies, anything made before the end of the 1970s. We’ll be doing some in-depth discussions, and we’ll be having lots of fun. Even the occasional movie quiz. |
