At swordandsorcery we discuss the sword & sorcery sub-genre of fantasy literature. We don’t discuss role-playing games or games of other kinds. What we do discuss is sword & sorcery written during the pulp era, and also that written by more recent writers. So if you’re a fan of Robert E. Howard’s stories, or Fritz Leiber’s tales of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, or C. L. Moore’s stories of Jirel of Joiry, or if you love Michael Moorcock’s Elric books, or Karl Edward Wagner’s Kane stories, this is the place for you. We also talk about sword & sorcery in movies and TV (like Xena). Some historical fiction will also come within our orbit. |
