STORY OF MY LIFE THE AMERICAN IDIOT DISCUSSION COMMUNITY

This is a discussion journal about Green Day's album American Idiot. As anyone that has listened to it will know, the whole album has a story including well-constructed characters and ideas.... and is going to be made into a movie. But in the mean time, this journal is for fans of this album to discuss their thoughts and opinions about the songs, stories, characters, themes, etc.

THIS IS NOT A PICTURE POSTING COMMUNITY! The only pictures allowed here are of any album art or your drawings or representations of characters,scenes, etc. Read the rules. ♥

[[COMMUNITY RULES]]

1. Stay on topic. This is a community for discussion of the album American Idiot, so be sure your posts pertain to the album.

2. No spamming with links to your new journal or community. If you want to promote a new community you've started, go ahead, but only one post please--tell us about it, what it's for, etc., ONCE and that's it. Subsequent posts will be deleted. (And naturally it has to be Green Day related.) Also if you do promote a community, please stick around and post more! We may give you the same courtesy. :-)

3. As it says above, this is not a picture posting community. You may only post pictures that are your interpretations of songs, scenes, or characters from American Idiot. No posts of Green Day photos please!

4. Please respect each other's ideas and opinions. Of course you're not all going to agree on everything, and intelligent debates are fine. Just don't yell at each other, insult each other, or start petty drama. Keep that stuff in your own LJs.

5. Type like a normal human being. For those who have forgotten, a capital letter goes at the beginning of a sentence, and the rest of the words in the sentence should not have any capital letters unless they are names or abbreviations. And don't use large fonts or change your text colours too much, because it makes your posts very hard to read. Also, when you have a large block of text, make it into paragraphs because once again huge un-indented blocks of text are a pain to read.

6. Don't join this community just to tell us Green Day sold out with AI and anyone who likes it isn't a "real fan". Don't even tell us about how you're sad that Green Day aren't the exact same as they were ten years ago. We're here to discuss this album because we like it. You don't like it, you don't have to read it.

And to tell you the truth, punk rock means doing what you believe no matter what anyone else says. If Green Day started making their next album another Dookie or 1039/SOSH just because the 'hardcore fans' complained about AI, then that, my friends, would be selling out.

7. Don't bitch at the mods for decisions we make, or whine if we delete somethng you post (which isn't going to happen if you follow the rules!). Love us, and we'll love you. It's that simple.
