Fortunately, i have an awesome group of friends who understand, and many of whom feel the same way.

lesbians who date men? | [01 Apr 2007|10:35am] |

please advise me if this sort of post is not allowed.--x-postedi'm writing an article on the theme of lesbian-identified women dating/loving/shagging men, and i want to know what you think about it. the angle i'm going to take is that sexuality is fluid, labels mean different things to different people, and that they don't describe the complexity of sex and sexuality. or rather, that will be the moral of my story, the real meat will be describing the 'phenomenon'. you do not have to be a lesbian, or even identify as queer (or anything at all) to answer some of these questions. you can even be straight. [ **mood** | fierce ] name: elissaage: 16, but my birthday is in 6 days!location: beaufort, north carolinagender: fsexuality(if you want): bisexualanything else you find pertinent: ever since i was young i've had a strong interest in feminist issues and as i've gotten older it's only deepened. part of that has been encountering sexism in my daily life over and over again and another part of it has been the attitude that somehow feminism is outdated. it's isn't! there is still so much to fight for. i take a special interest in reproductive rights issues and i am terrified of the possibilites mr. roberts brings to the supreme court. similarly, i am disgusted by the leadership at the fda and the way they handled the plan b application for over the counter status. i am really looking forward to being able to discuss these issues and get empowered through community. in rural, half mormon and half southern baptist north carolina it's easy for a feminist to feel deserted.

i finally banned all of the weirdos that have been commenting lately. something tells me that it was probably all the same pathetic loser with too much time on his hands. i feel like i really learned a few things from them:1. any man who feels the need to nickname his penis the "stick of male domination" obviously has never slept with, talked to, or even been in the vicinity of a real woman other than his mother- case closed. no real woman would ever sleep with something so vile and pathetic. continuing on ...2. they pointed out that we (the people of this community) will never have a penis. i think they expected us to feel badly about this?3. when i'm twentysomething and out of college, i hope that i do not have the extensive time on my hands to stalk livejournal and leave random weird comments on feminist communities. if i end up lifeless like them, i deserve to be shot.4. the same goes with playing starcraft.5. any man who watches weird horse porn anime has also never slept with a real woman (blow up dolls don't count). see #1.6. apparently, one of these said "men" believes that by threatening to rape us over the internet is frightening. i bet he'd really be threatened and if he met one of us in real life, and we kicked his little 90 pound ass.so, as a message to all the recent anti-feminist commenters; go back to masturbating. this is the most you've ever talked to girls in your entire life so you probably can't contain yourself.

I need to write a mini-thesis for US history. and I want to write it about feminism, I don't know what or how though.help?I was thinking about how the social/political view of women as inferior was one of the many causes of feminism. but I really don't like that. any ideas? and/or what online media source would prove itself useful for this project.thanks.signed C-UNiTx-posted. sorry.
