What we do...

Community energy Wales represents our members who are a network of grassroots practitioners delivering energy generation, energy efficiency, low carbon community heating, community transport, and education and outreach projects.

• We support communities to deliver their projects.
• We connect community organisations to share learning and best practice.
• We inspire through leading innovative projects in partnership with
  our members so that other communities can learn from us.

What are the benefits?

The community energy movement is a great way for people to do something positive and get involved in the effort in the needed for a just transition to a zero-carbon future. Community Energy Wales members are cutting fuel bills, boosting local economies, building resilient communities, supporting the use of the Welsh language, improving energy knowledge, and understanding. We bring people together to generate and grow an energy asset base for Cymru. Established groups provide funds for the creation of more community assets through supporting a range of other local beneficial initiatives.

What can you do?

There are many ways you can support community energy. If you are an individual you can join RhanNi, our growing movement of Community Energy Champions. If you are a community organisation, you can become a member of Community Energy Wales and access a wide range of services.
