Read This Before Joining
I know I speak for everyone who is just starting a community that it's hard to get applicants. There are countless communities that let you promote, but what I find to be frustrating was that no matter how much you promote, no one would ever end up looking into your community. You know why? It's because no one that's actually looking to find a community goes to the promotion communities to find them. (I hope that made sense)
And I know that I also speak for anyone who is trying to find a community that it's hard to find one that is just right for them.
This promotional community should help some or all of that because it's on a strict set of rules and a strict system that I'm almost sure will work, and this is how it works.
* Person A is looking to find a community that is good for them, so they join this community, and make an entry showing what kind of community they are looking for (themes - like celebrities, makeup tips, etc, rating/non-rating, you get the idea) and some very very basic background info about themselves.
* Then, person B looks through CommunityHeaven and finds Person A's entry. They think that Person A would be perfect for their community, so they leave a comment to Person A's entry with a promo to their community.
And how would this help?
For one thing, this helps to single out the kind of people who would want to be in your community, based on interests/whatever. And you'll get a bit of an insight on what kind of a person that they are too. And, your promo will get sent directly to that person. It's a win-win situation. Think of it sort of as a match.com-type thing..but for communities.
I'm sorry this is getting kind of long, but it's important. So read the rules, goddamnit.
o1. You absolutely must not post a promotional entry on this community. If you do, you'll get banned. So don't even think about it.
o2. The only kind of an entry that can ever be posted on this community is one that follows the format below.
o3. Please, don't be nasty.
o4. These are very basic rules that should be easy to follow. I want to keep it simple, and if you don't want to, then fine. You'll get yourself banned.
IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A COMMUNITY, USE THIS FORMAT. THIS IS THE ONLY KIND OF ENTRY YOU ARE ALLOWED TO POST ON THIS COMMUNITY.

I hope that this system will help some people to find a community that they love (because there are so many of them out there), and for others to find people that will make great additions to their own communities.
