Congressional Integrity Project (original) (raw)
Demanding Integrity from Our Public Officials
Public officials should work in the public interest, not their own. But some are willing to toss aside their commitments to their constituents, to American democracy, and to the truth.
Instead of dedicating themselves to bettering the lives of everyday Americans, those in power are planning to investigate their political opponents, undermine civil society, and empower dangerous and corrosive special interests.
The Congressional Integrity Project is shining a light on the motivations behind those who are in power – and who are trying to obtain power – to thwart the public good. Whether it’s a member of the House Oversight Committee or a cabinet nominee to a powerful post, we will call attention to their hypocrisy, expose the truth about their records and lay bare their extreme, special interest driven agenda that harms the American people.
We can’t force them to act with integrity. But we can make sure the American people know the truth.
