Chess pieces painted! Well, I finally painted the chess pieces. I went with a theme my friend Dan suggested: Albinos vs Normals.

Now I have to figure out what to do about a board. If I knew how to do papier-mache' I'd make a big toadstool table. But I don't, so most likely it'll be painted cardboard.

Chess Set I got some clay last night and made some chess pieces featuring woodland critters! Queens=rabbits Kings=raccoons Bishops=mice Knights=squirrels Rooks=birds (not really visible in the pic) Pawns=toadstools

Once the clay dries, I'll do some painting and finish the set, but here's the unfinished product:

Coconuts Oh wow, an LJ community inspired by the Crafty Beavers... this is so great! HAHAHA!

I'm hell bent on making some kind of coconut craft. My friend even gave me a coconut for my birthday, so I'm good to go. I'm thinking I'll cut it in half and hollow it out, so it can be mounted on the wall to collect bottle caps or other small junk like that. Amy talked about that on one of her talk show appearances and it sound hilarious! I'm just not sure where to start, though.
