So I decided that since I have this lovely community, I might actually use it from time to time... A couple of announcements:- All of my icons are now being posted in last5 (and have been for some time, I just forgot to make the announcement.) If you're just here for the icons, I encourage you to join last5 instead, where you'll see not only my icons, but also the work of phuck.- I'm going to be dumping a fair number of old essays and fics over the next few weeks, so bear with me through the spam. - This will eventually be the home of my Bellatrix rec-list when I get my shit together for that project.

Oooh... this one has original thoughts even. quills_elite first place winner for the following challenge:_"With the war raging on, I have decided it would be beneficial to the students to try and understand the reasoning behind the actions of some of the most reviled characters around Hogwarts. For this essay, you must choose either Madam Umbridge, Peter Pettigrew or Percy Weasley and write an essay defending his or her character and actions. Consider what motivates them to do what they do and why their actions may be justified."_So, being the contrarian that I am, I decided to defend Peter Pettigrew. Because really?
