Hello,
I recently got into Ares (literally about a week ago) and the more I re-read it, the more I seem to love it. The fandom seems kind of...inactive however, which is a shame considering the series hasn't been fully scanlated yet. Though I'm guessing some of you can read Korean and thus read the raws.
Anyway, since I have no fanwork to contribute as of this moment, I figured I'd just write some random thoughts I have on the series and hope a discussion can maybe start? XD
Things that springs to mind right now:
Baruna is more confusing than Mikael. Seriously, as much as I love him, I just don't understand him half the time. And for bein one of the main three, he has surprisingly very little screen time comparatively.
I want to know if Ares will ever eat Emergency Food....
How on earth did Gohu enter the Temple Mercs? Seriously. And I wish they'd shown a bit more scenes between him and Robin since it would have made the whole situation more emotional. Not that it wasn't emotional anyway.
Mikael and Baruna seems goes out of their way to balance each other's sadism/mercy. For example, Mikael goes and kills the soldier that Baruna spares when they are checking for survivors and Baruna goes and help the comrade that Mikael ignores.
Then again, Mikael goes out of his way to kill Cygnus for no apparent reason, so maybe it's just his crazy bloodlust working away there.
Why on earth did Baruna join the mercs if he is uncomfortable with killing those who are unarmed or lost the will to fight?! Seriously, that makes sense like how?!
I want to know what was in that bottle that fell into the water...>< So curious!
Er yeah, just random thoughts of mine here. Anyone left in this community?
Hi! I'm a lurker who would like to eventually de-lurk and contribute to the fandom. Right now I have a fanfic that I'm working on.
I'm looking for a beta to proofread, edit, and generally critique. It's a short piece (less than 1000 words) and it features rikion and icarus. Would anyone be interested? :D
