Customers Suck: The Spinoff
There are a lot of very interesting people in the communities dedicated to posting about sucky customers. Many of us want to discuss other things with these people besides specific sucky customers. But the point of those communities is to discuss sucky customers. Anything else is off topic.
This community is intended to solve that problem by being a companion community where everyone from the communities about customers sucking can come and talk about anything else it occurs to them to talk about.
If you want to ask if you sucked as a customer, or what it's like to work at a particular place of business, or how much and when to tip, or anything like that, this is the place to ask. This is even the place to bring up discussion topics such as minimum wage and cross-cultural tipping practices and the like. Nothing is off topic here. You can even make a post asking if everybody agrees that green is a good color for grass, if you are so inclined. If you are tempted to make a post to one of those other communities and preface it with "I know this is off topic, but..." then you can put it here instead of there.
This community is going to have only two rules.
The first is that you MUST follow the LJ terms of service. If you do not do this, I will probably have to ban you. Please don't make me do that. I don't want to ban anybody, but I will not put this community and the other members at risk of account-suspension just because you want to disobey the basic rules of a website you voluntarily became a part of.
The second is that honesty is expected and encouraged. If someone asks a question, please give an honest answer. It would be nice if there was no unprovoked flaming. But if someone asks "Did I suck as a customer?", for example, and you think that person really did suck, please tell them the truth.
The flip side of this, of course, is that you really should not ask any question here that if the answers turn out to be something you don't like, you will get very upset. If you cannot handle all possible answers, then please do not ask the question.
Other than that, anything goes. I hope everyone enjoys this community!
