What did you think of the suicide squad movie that featured Will Smith and Margot Robbie?

I really really wanted to like it and I liked so much about it, but I really struggled with the plot. I saw that you really liked suicide squad so I wanted to know your thoughts

Interesting! So Harley Quinn and Deadshot were not on the original suicide squad in the '80s?

You know, I'm not surprised that the '80s version is better than the one we have now. The '80s movies were generally better than the garbage we have now.

Why did you hate the movies? I hated the the plot with enchantress because I don't like Rick flag and his stupid girlfriend June Moon. No chemistry, and he wasn't even a hero really. If there was supposed to be a line between good versus evil, there wasn't any. I don't like movies where the good and bad guys are about the same.

And the plot was all over the place!

Both Deadshot and the Enchantress were part of the original Squad when the series debuted in 1988.

Harley Quinn never even so much as made an appearance in that series over the course of its 5 year run. She became a staple member when DC Comics rebooted their entire universe with The New52 back in 2011. I started to pick up the rebooted series when it first came out but I dropped it at around issue 7 or 8. It wasn’t for me.

The thing I hated right away about the first movie was that the mission was all about an actual Squad member going rogue. That didn’t make sense to me how the writers would come up with that story line as an opening film. Plus, why did the Squad go into the field with United States military? That also made no sense, the point of Task Force X is to have them take on missions that governments don’t want to be associated with publicly. That never happened in the missions in the comics it was only Rick Flag who would go with them to lead the missions and keep The Squad in line. In general I’m also not a big fan of Jame’s Gunn’s directing style. The sequel was even more ridiculous then the first movie glad at least I didn’t waste my time and money seeing that one in theaters.

what's your problem with Putin?
