While many researchers have examined how organizations acquire, manage, and leverage legitimacy in urban ventures, there is still a lack of consensus on the role of different types of legitimacy in rural ventures. This paper distinguishes between two types of legitimacy, political and market legitimacy, and utilizes ANOVA to identify variations in these types of legitimacy based on venture factors such as the leader's education and the venture's age. Our findings suggest that rural ventures tend to have stronger market legitimacy than political legitimacy, and that younger ventures exhibit stronger market legitimacy compared to older ones.

This study aims to analyzed the development of open innovation research knowledge and its application in the tourism sector during the past 17 years, with the aim of understanding the scientific activity and impact of existing research. In addition, this research identifies trending thematic lines and provides recommendations for future research on this topic.

Design/methodology/approach
A bibliometric analysis was carried out from the Scopus database, in which 110 studies related to open innovation in tourism were identified. The analysis of the papers was done with the Bibliometrix and Vosviewer tools.

Findings
The results show that there is a recent and growing interest among academics, especially since 2017. Moreover, four main lines of work were identified: overtourism and sustainability, value cocreation, open innovation and competitive advantage and its impact on organizations belonging to the hotel sector and the relationship between external knowledge and internal sources in innovation management and open innovation performance.

Originality/value
The relationship with other stakeholders involved in the customer experience value creation in the tourism sector depends to a large extent on the joint offer that hotels, restaurants, tour operators and tourist offices, can provide in a tourist destination. Therefore, having external sources to innovate from will improve their innovative and organizational performance. However, there are no bibliometric analyses on the application of the open innovation paradigm in this sector. Thus, this research contributes to fill this gap, as well as to identify the most recurrent themes that show how open innovation is developing in tourism, providing academics and researchers with guidelines for future research.

While many businesses worldwide have adapted to working from home or home-based offices, this is impractical in this sector as building activity is conducted on-site, which creates difficulties for employees in adapting to the post-pandemic setting. OBJECTIVE:This article analyzes how the pandemic has changed and affected construction firms’ human management control systems dimensions. We addressed, amidst the pandemic, how work is being performed and its effects on employees and businesses. METHODS:In this analytical research, we used chain referral sampling to perform an in-depth interview study with top administrators of different construction firms in Colombia, and we used inferential statistics for our data analysis. RESULTS:Results showed potential sources of low efficiency and minimal control of resources, including lack of communication with employees, lack of recognition systems, centralized decision-making, and disconnection between business objectives and financial requirements. CONCLUSIONS:Construction firms must ensure workers understand the project goals adequately and be empowered to make on-site decisions provided a training program is offered. Organizations ought to connect their strategic business goals with financial requirements; these must be regularly updated and modified as the economic and labor force scenario evolves.

Moreover, we propose a new way of operationalizing ambidexterity, under a holistic vision, including the synergies between exploration and exploitation. The study has been developed in the Spanish organic agro-food industry; a total of 239 usable responses were received from two respondents from each company-the general manager and the quality manager. The findings show that enabling formalization and organizational trust are positively related to ambidexterity, but contrary to our predictions, we found no evidence to show that coercive formalization is related to ambidexterity. In turn, we found different results for trust as a moderating factor on the types of formalization and ambidexterity.
