The jasmine bud borer Trichophysetis cretacea (Butler) (Lepidoptera Crambidae) is an important ag... more The jasmine bud borer Trichophysetis cretacea (Butler) (Lepidoptera Crambidae) is an important agricultural pest of jasmine flowers Jasminum sambac in China. The extract from the pheromone gland of the female moth was analyzed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectroscopy (GC-MS). (Z)-11-hexadecenyl acetate (Z11-16:Ac), (Z)-11-hexadecenal (Z11-16:Ald),and (Z)-11-hexadecenol (Z11-16:OH) were identified as the probable sex pheromone components. The electroantennogram (EAG) bioassay confirmed the results from the chemical analysis. Field bioassays conducted in the late summer and fall in Quanwei, Sichuan, China, showed that the synthetic chemical blend of Z11-16:Ac, Z11-16:Ald, and Z11-16:OH was highly attractive to male T. cretacea moths, and none of the three components was attractive by itself. All three components were necessary and the ratio of the three was critical. The highest number of male moths was captured when the ratio of Z11-16:Ac: Z11-16:Ald:Z11-16:OH was 10:10:1 at a dosage per lure of 200 microg Z11-16:Ac. The binary mixture of 200 microg Z11-16:Ac and 25 microg Z11-16:OH captured a number of Nymphicula mesorphna (10.3 +/- 4.4). The results indicate that traps with synthetic pheromone lures can be used to monitor jasmine bud borer populations in the field and potentially to control this pest.

ABSTRACT A D-π-A type triphenylamine derivative 3-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)acrylic acid (abbrevia... more ABSTRACT A D-π-A type triphenylamine derivative 3-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)acrylic acid (abbreviated as L) is designed, synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The self-aggregation of L nanostructures in different acidity aqueous solutions and/or under the guidance of rare earth (RE) ions is studied, along with the corresponding optical properties. In strong acidic conditions, L molecules self-assemble to form two dimensional nanostructures. While in neutral aqueous solutions, L tends to form nanorods. In the strong alkali environment, nanofibers were obtained. Moreover, in acidic conditions, the existence of Tm3+ induces the L molecules to self-aggregate into nanoplates. Flower-like six branched structures are observed when Yb3+ is used. The changed morphology leads to tunable linear optical properties.

A novel porphyrin derivative 5,10,15,20-tetra-4′-(tert-butylthio)phenylporphyrin (abbreviated as ... more A novel porphyrin derivative 5,10,15,20-tetra-4′-(tert-butylthio)phenylporphyrin (abbreviated as TSPP) and its Zn (II) complex (Zn-TSPP) have been synthesized and characterized, which possess aggregation-induced emission enhancement (AIEE) properties. The bulky groups increase the intermolecular steric effects which impede the π-π stacking interactions inducing J-aggregates of the two compounds in the THF-H 2 O mixed solution. DFT calculation was used to understand the relationship of molecular structure and luminescence.

[Acta Cryst. (1993), C49, 2000-2002]. The ethyl group is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.615 (10):0.385 (10) ratio. The C-O-C-C torsion angles containing the ethyl group are -111.6 (10) and 177.9 (7)°, while in the previously reported polymorph, the torsion angle is -167.3 (2)°. The molecules pack to form a three-dimensional structure in the ABAB style along the c-axis direction in the title compound, but parallel to the a-axis direction in the reported polymorph.

Dynamic 3D visualization simulation is a significant technological method of sea-level monitoring... more Dynamic 3D visualization simulation is a significant technological method of sea-level monitoring and disaster prediction, with its efficiency and quality playing a direct and important role in the accuracy and timeliness for analyzing and researching. With the merits of two algorithms " Source Flood " and " No-source Flood " , combined together and through a series of techniques and methods such as GPU parallel processing, Kriging surface interpolation, multi-constraints Delaunay triangulation, calculation of complex topological relation and spatial connectivity judgment, this paper proposes an efficient and dynamic 3D visualization simulation method. This method helps to distribute the workload of the complex computing and visual rendering with a certain strategy, avoiding the bottleneck of CPU-GPU Communication to some extent and enhancing the efficiency of dynamic simulation. Having been realized in the QuantyView3D geological visualization software platform, this technique is applied in the pilot project " Investigation of Geological Environment in Minjiang Estuary Area " launched by China Geological Survey.
