M... more HIV has become a serious problem in India with one of the highest rates of spread in the world. Many features contribute to India's vulnerability concerning the transmission of HIV; poverty, illiteracy and an increasing level of Urbanisation. To prevent the further spread of HIV it's fundamental that people should have a good knowledge about the disease. Since many risk behaviours, associated with the transmission of HIV, are adopted in young ages it is very important to put much effort on the prevention of HIV and AIDS and to provide basic knowledge about it. The present paper provides an overview to the students, teachers, educators and policy planners about the ways and means of protecting themselves from the deadly disease of HIV and AIDS.

Present era is the era of globalization due to which the distances between the people has been reduced by turning the whole world into the global village. In the present globalised world technology is one the major force and most potent instrument of social change and social progress. Technology plays an important role in producing new ideas and removing barriers between the people. In the recent decade, the notion of ‘digital divide’ has been comprehensively and widely researched and has attracted large spectrum of public speculation for its economic, social and political consequences. Studies have revealed that the gap existing between those who have access to ICTs and those who do not have access creates exclusion, threatening social integration and hamper economic growth. This article discusses initiatives taken by government of India towards the access to digital information and the critical role played by numerous nationwide programs in bridging the digital divide. The article also focuses on some of the key impediments and barriers to digitization and the need for strong determination, good policy–making and political support in bridging the digital divide in the country.

Education plays an important role towards the overall development of human personality. It is the education which helps in the formation of a sound personality and sound attitude in an individual. An individual is always faced with many problems and issues in his life. If the problems and issues faced by an individual are not resolved then he may face the issues like role confusion and negative identity which may further result in mismatch of abilities and desires and unpreparedness for the future challenges of life. These issues or the problems faced by an individual can be more disastrous if they occur during adolescence or during youthful age. India has the world's largest youth population despite having a smaller population than China, a latest report by United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA). The report titled " The power of 1.8 billion " , said 28 per cent of India " s population is 10 to 24 year-olds. Here it becomes imperatives to provide Core life skills education to this chunk of population. Life skill education will ensure that the learning needs of all young people and adults are met through equitable access to appropriate learning and life-skills programmes. The aim of life skills is to develop the abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.. To make youths the valuable assets of the society and to transform them into the individuals with high capabilities and potentialities, educational system needs to be reformed and reconstructed by giving due importance to life skill education. Life skills are abilities which will help in general well being and psychosocial competence of the individual. Life skill will facilitate in empowering the young people to take rational decisions and promote healthy and positive social relationships. The skills also encompasses of being able to establish productive and constructive interpersonal relationships with other members of society. The main aim of this article is to understand the importance of core Life Skills Education. In present paper the investigator tries highlight the importance of life skills, life skill education and the benefits of imparting life skill education in our curriculum.
