This study wished to investigate the strength of association and direction of correlation between... more This study wished to investigate the strength of association and direction of correlation between Procrastination and Academic Achievement of Secondary School students residing in District Ganderbal of Jammu and Kashmir. Through Simple Random Sampling, a sample of 200 students-100 male and 100 female-was selected for this study. Procrastination scale constructed by Lay in 1986 was employed to measure Procrastination variable and the aggregate Marks Percentage in 9 th Standard was considered as the Academic Achievement of the 10 th Standard students. Simple Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation and Pearson's Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation (r) were used as statistical tools for data analyses. Procrastination was found to be moderately and negatively correlated with Academic Achievement (at 0.01 level of significance) (two-tailed test) of Secondary School students irrespective of their gender.

The study was aimed at finding out the degree and direction of association of Psychological Wellb... more The study was aimed at finding out the degree and direction of association of Psychological Wellbeing and Achievement Motivation with Academic Achievement of Secondary School Students of District Ganderbal. Through Purposive Random Sampling, a sample of 100 Secondary School students-60 male and 40 female-was selected for this study. Psychological Well-being Scale, developed by Dr. D.S. Sisodia and Ms. P. Choudhary, in 2005, was employed to measure Psychological Well-being variable and the Achievement Motivation Scale, constructed by Dr. Pratibha Dev & Dr. Asha Mohan in 1985, was used to measure Achievement Motivation variable. Self-constructed Academic Achievement Test was employed to assess the Academic Achievement of the selected sample. Simple Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation and Pearson's Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation (r) were used as statistical tools for data analyses. Psychological Well-being was found to be moderately and positively correlated with Academic Achievement of Secondary School students irrespective of their gender whereas the Achievement Motivation was weakly and positively correlated with Academic Achievement of Secondary School students for the total sample. The measurements were conducted at 0.01 level of significance.

In early stages, medical management is considered; while as a transmural disease with pneumatosis or perforation needs surgical attention. Primary peritoneal drainage has evolved as an alternative to classic exploratory laparotomy especially in sick preterm and very low birth weight infants.Methods: In our study, we tried to employ primary peritoneal drainage as an initial intervention in all surgical necrotizing enterocolitis patients and analyzed the results and final outcome in terms of total days in neonatal intensive care unit, total parenteral nutrition days, days to start oral feeds, need for laparotomy, mortality and other complications.Results: Around one-third patients were either very low or extremely low birth weight and 80% patients were preterm.
