On Thursday 23 October the Teigmouth Local History Society welcomes Dr Edmund Whitley, local ecclesiastical and architectural historian who will address the group on the recently discovered `Serpent Stones' from the grounds of St Michael the Archangel. Dr Whitley has just returned from a short spell at the Miskatonic University, New England, where he has been researching genealogical and cultural links between Teignmouth and fishing ports on the east coast of America.

The talk starts at 7:30pm. tea and biscuits will be served at the interval. Mrs Jones has kindly supplied one of her sculpted clay idols for the raffle.
