City Council ApprovalsApproved a temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license for Sgt. John Rice VFW at 1374 109th Ave NE. Approved a on-sale and Sunday intoxicating liquor licenses for Thai Twist at 1003 109th Ave NE. Granted a rezoning from farm residential (FR) to development flex (DF), a resolution granting preliminary plat approval to subdivide 21.52 acres into 40 single family lots and two outlots to be known as Crispin Cove, and a conditional use permit to allow for the construction of 40 single family lots at 4255 125th Ave NE and 12581 Lexington Ave NE. Granted a preliminary plat approval to create 13 lots to be known as Northtown Revitalization and approved a conditional use permit for zero lot lines, shared access and parking in County Road 10 Mixed Use Zoning District 100 Northtown Drive NE, Northtown Mall. Approval for temporary road closure of Jefferson Street from Oak Park Blvd to Territorial Road for the 2024 Blaine Festival Parade on Saturday, June 29. Granted preliminary approval to issue tax abatement bonds for the construction of an event stadium with annual lease payments pledged to the City to pay the bonds, and declaration of intent to reimburse prior expenditures.Granted a rezoning and conditional use permit to the East Blaine Mosque and Academy at 3680 Pheasant Ridge Drive.Granted a rezoning, preliminary plat approval, and conditional use permit for Boulder Villas for 11 single family lots at, 9240 W 35W Service Drive.
Economic Development Authority ApprovalsApproved a lease agreement for 1409 105th Ave NE with ABC Signs. Approved purchase and lease agreements for 2190 106th Lane NE.

Serenity Bean Serenity BeanSerenity Bean, a new locally-owned coffee shop opened May 30 at 12064 Central Ave NE. This coffee shop is open to all and has special space for those in the recovery community to hold meetings and events.
Tommy’s Car Wash Tommy’s Car Wash Tommy’s Car Wash at 4252 122nd Ave NE opened and celebrated by giving away free car washes May 31-June 2.
Indoor PickleballThe Picklr opened their doors June 1 at 467 87th Lane NE with free pickleball, lessons, food trucks and more.
