Therefore, solutions that can support senior citizens (Longinos for the men and Longinas for the women) will be necessary, in order to help them stay actively involved in their professional life for longer. This is possible by designing fit for purpose working environments and by enabling flexible management of job-, leisure-and health-related activities, considering their needs at the workplace, at home and on the move, with a particular focus on fighting social isolation. This project presents a robotic digital solution that makes provision for Longinos/Longinas persons, that are above 70 years old, a single view of integrated health, business and social data spread respectively in online health communities, online project management websites and social networks, as well as the provision of a set of services, that will allow them to manage huge amounts of data.

However, current approaches to software adaptation have critical limitations when applied on software in a cloud environment, since cloud service engineers cannot be certain of the ‘nature’ of their users, regarding their needs and their evolution over time. This article proposes a user-centred framework that addresses self-adaptation of cloud services based on users’ distinct needs and requirements. It aims at leveraging existing human computer interaction approaches to explicitly and implicitly collect user-related data into the cloud. This collection later supports the delivery of adaptive cloud services, contextually relevant to users’ tasks and to their behavioural profiles. Such approaches have the potential to enhance the quality of cloud applications’ service and user experience in cloud-based manufacturing systems. A first prototype demonstration is also presented as a future platform composed of the first basic models (of the ones mentioned in this article) .Then, the platform will be further expanded for instantiation and evaluation in the context of cloud and ubiquitous computing environments.

We do so in terms of present a personal failure story, namely this of the PACE toolkit, a methodology that the author has co-developed at ALTEC Research Programmes Division for valuating intellectual and intangible assets, in parallel with the success story of the business model canvas developed by Alex Osterwalder. We emphasise on the need for e-business and e-commerce professionals and practitioners to more seriously and enthusiastically invest in branding related activities. Involving others such as future potential users or customers as well as investors is a key in the adoption and uptake of our offerings.

Bringing examples for service successes and failures, this chapter shall help the reader position him or herself with the field under examination. We present and discuss the collaborative approach towards service design and the contextualisation of services as leverage for attaining competitive advantage. Critical factors are listed that concern relationship management in business service contexts and which are considered in terms of the collaboration dimension. The chapter closes with an examination of power dependencies and trust in collaborative service arrangements.

We also draw analogies with the notion of shadow capital and the relevance of applying reflexive learning as a practical means to deal with mistakes in the corporate environment.

Proposed reflexive methodologies still perpetuate many traditional hierarchies, and fail to consider the creative nature of the educational process as such. Much research work also takes place within the commercial sphere, and post-processual ideas cannot advance educational practice unless they can be implemented in some type of an e-learning system. In our Chapter we examine theoretical considerations of reflexivity, representation, subjectivity and experiential engagement to highlight their relevance to everyday educational practice, and their potential to undermine existing suboptimalities in the classroom.

This will help the wide scale adoption of innovative services for facilitation of social interactions of any type of intellectually, physically or technologically challenged person and the elderly, including workplace adaptation and assistance in the use of sophisticated access-to-service environments. The Learning Assets Innovation concept enables the interface to be personalized based on the user's needs and preferences which can then be configured into a personalized profile. This profile will underpin and inform all engagements between the user and selected existing technologies so as to impact positively on the effectiveness of the user in the context of learning, employability, and social interactions.
