dailydraw - Profile (original) (raw)
Here's the idea:
If you take the time to draw something, ANYTHING, at least once every day, your drawing skill will mature of it's own accord, and one day you'll wake up talented. This community is for critique, constructive criticism and flat out showing off. The aim is to be friendly - trollish behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
ABSOLUTELY NO TALENT IS NECESSARY. The goal is to improve more than anything else. The founders of this community cannot draw their way out of a wet paper bag. That being said, if you are talented, you should play too.
A lot of us use art.com's Artpad feature for various reasons, but we wholeheartedly encourage ANY kind of drawing - pencil, ink, crayon, sketchbook, canvas, notebook paper, ANYTHING. Just DRAW.
This question has come up: multiple drawings per day are wholeheartedly encouraged. The goal is to draw SOMETHING every day, not just ONE thing. If you're going to submit a very large number of drawings per day, however, please consider editing them into your first post as opposed to making them all seperate.
If you're posting large images, please utilize the lj-cut feature. Placeholders will be used for src'd images larger than 640x480 in case you forget.
Finally try to keep O/T posting down to a dull roar. If you're not including pictures of your drawings in your post, ask yourself if this is the right community to post to. There are plenty of other places for discussion, debate, advice and other content that doesn't involve drawing a picture and posting it on the internet. Flagrant derails get deleted.
That's it! Less talk more drawing!
