For Conservation of energy the best option is energy audit. Energy audit is a process to determine when, where, why and how energy is used in a plant or building. Collection of these information helps to identify the situation where there is need to improve energy efficiency and decrease production cost. Normally, an energy audit is carried out by certified energy Auditors. By conducting energy audit process in industry, employees begin considering energy as a manageable expense and try to conserve it in day-to-day action. This project aims to carry out lighting audit and electric load management audit in Rajarambapu Patil Sahakari Dudh Sangh Ltd, Islampur. The main objective of this project is to evaluate use of energy in above industry for lighting purpose and determine the opportunities for energy saving with energy efficient equipment's or techniques have to be adopt in industry to make industry more energy efficient through energy audit.

Energy audit is a consumption index that normalizes the state of the energy crisis by providing savings plans. Any organization called a large electricity consumer the use of appropriate energy-saving technologies or solutions minimizes energy consumption. Collecting this information provides consumers the idea of improving energy efficiency and reducing costs. Energy control of lighting and management of electrical load audit work was carried out to evaluate energy consumption, therefore energy savings opportunities identified implementing energy-efficient equipment or technologies to be adopted at the institution to minimize the energy consumption. A comparative analysis of the energy flow has been done in ETAP software that uses existing types of equipment and efficient equipment. Effective energy audit process in the college of engineering can focus the employees to think of energy as a controllable expenses and tried to save it in their daily work.

It is a variable impedance device where the current through reactor is controlled using bidirectional thyristor valves. The application of SVC is initially for load compensation of fast changing loads. Here the objective is to provide dynamic power factor improvement and also balance the currents on the source side whenever required. The work deals with the analytical studies, modeling and simulation of SVC to make it possible competent compensator of current generation. The investigation is carried out on different configuration of SVCs. The result of that thyristor binary compensator (TBC) type of thyristor switched capacitor (TSC) in conjunction with smallest step size thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) configuration turn out to be best solution over major power quality issues.

The non-linear loads such as be personal computers, automatic machines, adjustable speed drives, lighting ballasts and other power electronic equipment are the main sources of harmonics. In this work, the harmonic mitigation was done of a computer laboratory by shunt connected tuned passive filters. Computer loads contains a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) in the system that generates harmonics at the input side of power supply due to non-sinusoidal current. The simulation work was carried out by modeling personal computer load and single tuned passive filter designed by equal and unequal method. The attractive results for harmonic reduction has been observed. The different nature of loads connected to the three-wire four-phase distribution system. It can be personal computers, automatic machines, variable speed drives, lighting ballasts and other electronic power equipment, which may produce a nonlinear characteristic cause zero sequence current to flow in the system in the neutral of supply system. This may cause a serious power quality problems, results in reduction. This paper present to reduce the harmonics currents and neutral overloading by using the zigzag transformer. The zigzag transformer is one of the solution to attenuate the neutral current and reduce the zero sequence harmonic currents of the distribution systems.
