📣 Portfolio news: tozero raises €11M to build a 'first-of-a-kind' (FOAK) industrial plant for recycled lithium production. ♻️ Founded in 2022, tozero are the first — and only — company delivering recycled lithium in Europe. Their pilot plant currently processes nine tonnes of lithium-ion battery waste per day. “Other competitors raise way more money to get to an industrial plant. But as our process and our technology is so lean and efficient, we don’t require more" says CEO Sarah. ⚡ The fresh round, led by NordicNinja VC, with participation from IQT (In-Q-Tel), Honda, JGC, and continued support from Atlantic Labs, Verve Ventures, and Possible Ventures, brings total funding raised to €17M, including a €2.5M EIC grant. 🌍 Eurovision for #DeepTech startups 🚀 We loved supporting Stage Two – Europe’s largest university spinout competition – for a third year. 🌊 This year, Quentin awarded our €250k investment prize to AI-powered flood forecasting startup FloodWaive, a spinout of RWTH Aachen University. They are tackling an increasingly pressing problem, exemplified by the recent floods in Spain. 🏆 Congratulations to all the prize winners: Nanomation, RayVen, BioFragment, Belfort, GaltTec, SEALEO, Naya Development, nextract energy, aisencia, Turnmotion. 🚀 It’s a launch. Yesterday, after months of anticipation, Wandelbots launched “NOVA” at the Albertinum in the tech-driven city of Dresden. CEO Christian described their new product as "windows for robots" ... one unified system that can speak every robot's language 🤖 🇩🇪 Following 1.5 years of building the platform, they are already working with industry leaders like Schaeffler and 3M and partnering with Microsoft and NVIDIA. Congrats Christian, Georg, Maria, Christoph and team #Wandelbots for bringing this visionary product to market.
