MAGNOTHERM® is a startup of over 40 employees headquartered in Darmstadt, a city near Frankfurt, Germany. We achieve the cooling effect entirely without a gas-compressor system. MAGNOTHERM is the first to commercialise magnetic cooling technology. Our technology, based on solid state materials and water, is capable of replacing standard gas compression cooling or heating solutions in compliance with current and future f-gas regulation standards. Our developed cutting-edge energy conversion solutions allow cooling and heating with low pressure systems (approx. 0.5 bar) and is up to 30% more efficient than current systems. At the same time it complies with all current and future EU F-gas regulations, is explosion free and non-flammable. It is efficiently scalable in all sizes (from 0.5 to 5 kW) for thermal energy conversion units in decentralized, mid-range powered applications. With our 100% green technology, we are able to meet the world’s fast growing demand of clean and sustainable cooling and heating applications.

Ein großer Schritt für unser Team – und ein noch größerer Schritt, um F-Gase in der Kältetechnik weltweit zu eliminieren. Vor zwei Wochen haben wir einen wichtigen Meilenstein erreicht: Auf der Chillventa der führenden globalen Messe für Kältetechnologie, konnten wir uns neben den ganz Großen der Branche präsentieren. Es war eine fantastische Gelegenheit, unser Potenzial zu zeigen und starke Resonanz zu erleben. So viel Interesse, so viele wertvolle Gespräche und vor allem: so viel Begeisterung für unsere Technologie. In der Branche ist längst klar, dass wir die Art und Weise, wie wir kühlen, neu denken müssen. Aber dass dies durch magnetische Kühlung möglich ist? Genau hier setzen wir an und bieten eine Lösung, die nicht nur nachhaltiger, sondern auch effizienter ist. Vor 1,5 Jahren war die Welt der Kühltechnologie für mich noch Neuland. Alles was ich wusste, ist, dass wir Innovationen nutzen müssen, um unseren Planeten zu erhalten und den menschgemachten Schaden zu minimieren. Und genau deshalb bin ich heute Teil von MAGNOTHERM und glaube an die Veränderung, die wir hier bewirken. Immer wieder werde ich gefragt, wie unsere Technologie funktioniert.
