traffic [10 Jan 2008|11:24am]
So yesterday Sarah came to pick me up from work as usual but she couldn't drive into the car park as there was a queue of traffic blocking the entrance. she drove down to the other building and the queue extended that far so she drove down to the next building. I called her and she was waiting by the third build so I told her to join the other queue leaving the research park. I walked over to the end of the other queue and she wasn't there?! another phone call and I find she's joined the first queue so I run over to that side of the research park and get in the car. we crawl slowly up the hill until I realise I've left my magazine at my desk. as the traffic is so slow I decide to get out and run back into the office and grab my magazine as we are now conveniently by the entrance to the first building. When I come back out after about 1 minute, miraculously the queue is moving really fast and Sarah is nowhere to be seen. I jog for ten minutes and eventually get to her down at tesco -where she sometimes waits for me - now 40 minutes after I'd originally left from work. rubbish.

sarah and I aren't going to let our new self-imposed budget living put us off having a good time. this weekend we've been mostly watching disney movies together - aladdin yesterday and the lion king today. it's been just lovely! - staying up late lastnight watching the shining until 1am probably wan't the best idea tho - at least the fear brought us together!sarah went to check-out the leisure centre in lightwater today - I can't wait for her to start going - doing hardcore exercise makes her really happy, go go go!

birthday [04 Apr 2007|04:46pm]
Wow my birthday yesterday was the best i've had for ages! I felt sure it was going to be rubbish when I found out that tickettout.com had stolen sarah's cash and not sent the fallout boy tickets but instead I went out with dr dykes to mercedes-benz world at brooklands a couple of miles away and was instructed on how to drive sideways in 480bhp AMG Merc CL63 by the guy who taught simon pegg and nick frost how to drive for hot fuzz! yay!Sarah was super lovely to me and bought me good stuff even tho her money had not been refunded for the tickets and the best chocolate cake from thorntons!

health [08 Mar 2007|11:07am]
Sarah and I went to register at a new local doctors yesterday - it meant we got out of work early (in profit - yess!). The had a funny take-an-number-wait-in-line thing. the nurse that checked us up was full of local knowledge which was quite interesting - she was saying how bisley had such a good community. Anyway - the outcome was that we are both normal and healthy - as a new thing they do to check for susceptibility to diabetes they measure your waist. I have a waist measurement 32" - a full 8" off my previous max which was pretty cool - also the scales said I was 12st 8lbs which is nicer than what our scales say so woohoo! The other cool thing was sarah's waist measurement that was 26" - how slim is she!

noo - i've finished reading my book - I only got it on tuesday and now it's gone and it even got really poor near the end but I didn't want it to be over that quick, I wanted it to last ages and help me get throguh lunchtimes at work but now it's gone. I'm tempted to read it again and there's only ever been two books i've read twice.

not at work today, woke up this morning, feeling bleurgh - with hot and cold sweats and a fuzzy head, when sarah was setting off for her minutes taking course in london - I went to sleep a few times again after but kept waking up thinking that people were knocking on the door, ringing the bell or trying to break in - these things weren't happening but I kept thinking they were, I kept having freaky dreams too, I think I would have liked to do some more sleeping. The weekend was good saturday involved a mission to birmingham on the train for a long overdue meet-up with my friend aidan from uni, It was cool to see him, he has long hair now. getting the train was really easy - only one change from brookwood and the tickets were only only £20 return - the only hitch was that we couldn't actually get our tickets until we arrived at birmingham new st. station so we kept having to explain to all the train people about how we bought our tickets online and had to find a 'fastticket' machine in order to get them. All the staff were very helpful and understanding tho.Saturday night was fun too. It was Dr. Dykes' birthday so we went to the only cool pub in guildford and did lots of drinking. we should have stuck with the beers but we quickly moved on to flaming sambucas. Everything got very messy very quickly. as the day went from saturday night to sunday morning things became less fun, I was worried that Sarah was going to go home and leave me at Dykes' but I managed to stay not sick long enough for her to allow me to get a taxi back home with her. Sunday was very relaxed - we had a fry up and gradually recovered from the night before, by bed time I felt pretty normal again which is pretty annoying as I don't feel quite right today - I think I must have picked up some germs from birmingham. grr.

I am completely over the moon, obsessively in love with Sarah, so much so that writing it in my previous entry would not have done the sentiment justice, I must go and join her now as sitting at the computer 10 feet away - is just too far!

schmirnoff! [12 Aug 2006|10:09pm]
Wow - I really have the urge to buy this 300 bhp, 5 litre V12 BMW 7 -serieshttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&item=280017437646&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1It's only £650 B.I.N !Last night and today Sarah and I went up to Tamworth to visit her nan (and dad who was there too) tamworth was nice and nothing at all like anywhere in surrey. On thursday I went to the Detica LI summer party at the weyside inn, in guildford - I ended up doing some competitive drinking with dykes (I haven't done that for a long time!) we raced downing pints of caffery's then smirnoff ice strawpedoes (i'd never tried that before - brings to my mind images of emma monty-bebb shouting "strawpedo" at the top of her posh-girl voice!) I think I got away with it and still had quite a productive day of work yesterday.

car spotting problem [30 Jul 2006|04:32pm]
So in my last post I said that i'd never seen a ferrari F40 in real life - well today I saw one, a real one driving around west byfleet where I used to live, I also saw a new porsche 997 turbo and an e-type jag on the roads in guildford - surrey has a completely disproportionate amount of supercars - there's a £385,000 mcmerc that goes around guildford too - and aston martins are ten-a-penny.I must stop this car spotting habit!today it took jabbawokki and I quite a while to get up and out of bed, once up we did go to guildford and go swimming tho - which completely knackered us out - meaning lunch from wetherspoons was needed to give us the energy to get home again.I am now going to go and continue working on my birthday present for beetourist.

It was mega good and I took about 170 pics - I've selected just a few of them to put on lj**( motor show picsCollapse )**I had been suffering a bit of a cold throughout the week since wednesday - I think I got a bit run-down overdoing it at the show on tuesday.Today spent some excellent quality time with jabbawokki - lovely and relaxing - pretty ideal for a saturday actually!Ooh - it's gone past midnight - HAPPY BIRTHDAY bee_tourist!!!

it's what would normally be considered 'a work night' but I have tomorrow off as they offered me a free ticket to the british motor show. I'm not asleep as that would waste all this free time! and also it's super hot.I read this on bee_tourist's journal an wondered what I would write.( Read more...Collapse )

omg there is nothing in the history of the world cuter than LOCO ROCO!in real life, today was super hot - the temp guage in the car said 104F! that's 40C! for some reason I thought it would be a good idea at lunch to walk into town rather get a taxi / bus, it was about a four mile round trip and defo not the right day for it, I don't think walking has ever made me sweat so much.

So, earlier, sarah and I were taking photos of each other speaking the names of the letters of the alphabet - it was so funny that it warranted the creation of a new icon! yay! I particularly like "Q".

car stuff [08 Jul 2006|06:36pm]
back in april I had a few days off around my birthday, I spent some time doing a bit of body work restoration on my car around the passenger side rear wheel arch - a common place for E30s to go - this is the first time i've ever tried anything like it before and it's really not very professionally done but i'm glad i've done it anyway as the rust was scaring me.Anyway here's the photo diary of the restoration....( really boring car restoration and painting postCollapse )
