students in public secondary schools in Delta State. Two research question were raised in the
study. The study adopted the survey research method. The population for this study comprised
all public secondary school principals, teachers and students in Delta State. There are currently
479 public secondary schools in Delta State made up of 479 principals, 14,877 teachers and
32,564 SS3 students in Delta State. The sample for this study was 50 principals, 100 teachers
and 350 students in selected public secondary schools Delta State. Two instruments (Human
Fraternity and Self-efficacy Teachers Questionnaire (HFSTQ) and Human Fraternity and Self
efficacy Students Questionnaire (HFSSQ)) were used to collect data for the study. The
reliability coefficients of the instruments ranged from 0.74 to 0.86 through Cronbach Alpha.
Simple percentage, Mean, standard deviation, one sample t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA),
and regression statistics (simple and multiple) were the statistical tools deployed for the
analysis of data collected. Based on the findings, it was concluded that human fraternity and
self-efficacy are essential components of a holistic education that foster the cognitive,
emotional and social development of students. It empowers students to take ownership of their
learning, build resilience and develop a growth mindset. Inclusivity from the human fraternity
enhances self-efficacy. Human fraternity and self-efficacy create a powerful synergy that can
transform the educational experience. Policies of divisions and extremism are tearing the world
apart. Students should be taught how to coexist with students of other ethnic groups and those
excluded due to various challenges. Based on the conclusion, it therefore recommended that
the government and policy-makers should incorporate human fraternity and self-efficacy into
the curriculum to promote a holistic education and develop assessments and evaluations to
measure human fraternity's impact on students, whether positive or negative.

Rituals during rites of passage, circumcision, widowhood, initiation etc are now perceived inimical and repugnant to health. Although these rites and practices were initiated to enhance quality of life, the practicability and benefits of majority of these rituals have become obsolete and inimical to health and psyche in recent times. Although various researches have documented the processes and benefits of these traditional ritual practices, few have examined its health and psychological implications on individuals. Thus, this research examined the health and psychological implications of traditional rites and practices in Nigeria with special focus in some selected communities in Delta State. Explanation of core variables hinged on functionalist and social change theory. A total of 400 respondents were co-opted in the study. Respondents' eligibility and inclusiveness revolved around age and residency. Data was gathered using questionnaire and in-depth interview. Data was analyzed using simple percentage and chi-square. Data revealed that the rich cultural ritual practices were initiated to enhance longevity and as well maintain peaceful coexistence , but its relevance have become repugnant and inimical to health in modern time. The long-time effects cause psychological problems for victims. Thus, the study recommends that indigenous practices whose rites and rituals pose as threat to health be eradicated.

The correlational survey design was used. The study population includes 275 parents and primary school teachers from Delta State. A total number of 275 respondents consisting of 100 parents and 175 primary school teachers were selected from 10 primary schools from Delta State. In selecting primary schools, proportional stratified sampling technique was used. The 10 schools were selected from 6 local government areas across the 3 Senatorial Districts in Delta State. A questionnaire self-designed and titled "Psychological Effects of Parents Utilization of Vacation for Extra Lessons Questionnaire (PEPUVELQ)", validated and its reliability equally determined via a pilot study using test re-test reliability technique with a coefficient index of 0.84 was used. Simple percentage, mean scores, standard deviation and coefficient of determination using 2.50 as benchmark to provide answers to the research questions. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Statistic was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that psychological effects of parents utilizing vacation for extra lessons for their wards and the impact on students' attitude to learning in primary schools in Delta State. In conclusion, the utilization of vacation lessons by parents can have both positive and negative psychological effects on children. While vacation lessons can provide academic benefits, enrichment opportunities, and structure, they can also lead to increased stress and anxiety, pressure to perform and meet expectations, limited downtime and relaxation, impact on mental health and well-being and potential negative impact on parent-child relationships. It therefore recommended that parents should consider individual child needs and boundaries. Set realistic expectations and goals. Parents are to engage other forms of learning that could be fun as well during the holidays. Encourage balance between work and play. Monitor workload and stress levels.

The paper clearly noted that since the outbreak of Boko Haram (which means western education is a sin) terrorist group in 2009, both insurgents and bandits have attacked many educational institutions and several teachers and learners killed. The terrorists have added educational stakeholders kidnapping to their nefarious and heartless activities in Nigeria. School kidnapping is simply the act of taking students hostage in mass. Sometimes, the terrorists kidnap the students to make money through ransom payment by the government or the relatives of the victims. In some cases, they kidnap the students just to spite the government and in some other cases they use the students as human shields and also as aids; this has brought fear and negative attitude to schooling. Some reported cases of school abductions in Nigeria since 2014 were discussed. Importantly, the paper examined the negative implications of this menace on the educational and economic development of Nigeria. It therefore recommended among others that governments at all levels should immediately beef up security in Nigerian schools to forestall further abduction of students in schools. It was also recommended that to effectively combat all forms kidnapping, the government should fight insurgency to a complete standstill because the various insurgent groups in the Northern and Southern parts of the country are all resorting to kidnapping of innocent population in their efforts to actualize their unholy agenda.

Two (2) research questions were raised to be answered while two (2) null hypotheses were formulated to be tested in the study. The variables in the study were reviewed from relevant literature. This research is a correlational study of ex-post facto design and the population consists of all the 479 public secondary school principals and 14,877 teachers in the twenty-five (25) Local Government Areas of Delta State. The sample for this study was 48 principals and 1,487 teachers in Delta State public secondary schools selected from 13 Local Government Areas. This represented 10% of the population using the stratified random sampling technique. This involved sampling 13 Local Government Areas from twenty-five (25) Local Government Areas. Secondly, 10% of principals and teachers from 13 Local Government Areas sampled were selected using simple random technique resulting to 48 and 1,487 respectively. A self-developed questionnaire titled "Teachers' Attitude to Students' Negative Feedback Questionnaire (TASBFQ)", validated and its reliability equally determined via a pilot study using test re-test reliability technique with a coefficient index of 0.85 was used. The research questions raised were answered using simple percentage for the study. The researcher administered a total of 1,535 questionnaires to randomly selected principals and teachers from the selected public secondary schools in the study area. The researcher employed descriptive statistic of mean scores and standard deviation to provide answers to the research questions while Pearson Product Moment Statistics was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that student' negative feedback influence teachers' attitudes thereby becoming dismissive, justified, or even hostile when confronted with criticism. It was therefore recommended that there is need to encourage teachers to embrace student feedback as a valuable tool for professional development, recognizing that feedback is an opportunity to learn and improve, rather than a personal attack. Teachers should therefore undergo training on how to cope with negative feedback from students.

A correlational research design was employed, and three hypotheses were tested. The study initially recruited 370 teachers, evenly distributed between genders, but ultimately 333 participants completed the study. Data collection involved the use of a validated questionnaire, with reliability indices of 0.91 for the Passion for Teaching Rating Scale and 0.85 for the Teaching Effectiveness Rating Scale. The data were analyzed using Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient and regression statistics, with a significance level set at 0.05. The findings of the study revealed a significant relationship between passion for teaching and teaching effectiveness among secondary school teachers. However, no moderating effects of gender or teaching experience on this relationship were observed. Based on these results, it is recommended that teacher education programs and professional development initiatives place importance on fostering and developing passion for teaching. By emphasizing the cultivation of passion for teaching, these programs can contribute to enhancing teaching effectiveness and ultimately improving the educational experiences and outcomes of students.

When children are sent to boarding school it can leave them traumatized and disrupt trust leading them to hide their vulnerable selves both in childhood and adulthood. Parents perceived that boarding schools can be too strict and regimented, they also feel that their children are being taken away too soon. Parents also perceived that some children may feel isolated, feeling of loss, adjustment, emotional stress, insecurity of schooling environment, attitude of teachers, managers, toxic schooling environment and fear of being bullied. The descriptive survey design was used. The study population includes 50 boarding schools in Nigeria. The sample and sampling technique used for the study a random sampling technique. A total number of 150 respondents consisting of 50 boarding school heads and 100 teachers were selected from 15 boarding schools from Delta and Edo states. Two states were randomly selected. A questionnaire self-designed and titled "Perception of Parents to the Vulnerability of Boarding Schools Students Questionnaire (PPVBSSQ)", validated and its reliability equally determined via a pilot study using test re-test reliability technique with a coefficient index of 0.84 was used. The research questions raised were answered using simple percentage. It was therefore recommended that the schools should strive to make their boarding schools a conducive environment for the younger children in order to reduce the hostility situation. It is important that government regulates the boarding system and ensure quality control, where good food, friendly/ caring and committed teachers are found. Available resources for the children and everything deemed important to the students are provided. More so, the government should intervene in the situation of boarding schools for the young children, rather than leaving everything to the owners. The government should make policies to regulates the situations in boarding schools for the purpose of improvement rather than leaving everything to the school owners.

This study also shows that students with higher age brackets make more use of metacognitive reading strategies than lower-age students. Therefore, it is recommended that educators should be prepared to educate students how to effectively utilise various components of metacognitive reading strategies.
