The German-English Language Community

English Deutsch
This community's purpose is solely (well, more or less) to help students of German (as a second, third, fourth language). It probably won't help the people that are already fluent at it, but those can still help the others. :) Der Sinn dieser Community besteht einzig und allein darin (na ja, mehr oder weniger), Leuten, die Deutsch als zweite (dritte, vierte) Sprache lernen, zu helfen (so viele Kommas). Die Community wird kaum von Hilfe für Leute sein, die Deutsch als Muttersprache sprechen, aber die können den Lernenden gern helfen. :)
I would like to remind you that, although German speakers will be happy to help you or give you hints, this community is not about doing your homework! There is no problem helping you with it, but you have to put in some effort to improve your German, and not the German native speakers, because they won't really learn from it.
Don't hesitate to ask questions, or answer other people's questions if you feel like it. In case you have a problem, contact the maintainer (his username @ livejournal.com). Zögert nicht, Fragen zu stellen oder auch welche zu beantworten. Bei Problemen kontaktiert den Verantwortlichen (sein Benutzername @ livejournal.com).
English is used as a lingua franca, don't worry about anyone not understanding you as long as you can speak either German or English. Englisch wird hier als Lingua Franca verwendet also sprecht entweder Englisch oder Deutsch und Ihr werdet verstanden.
Are you interested in sharing ideas and experiences about cultural differences? Then, feel free to check out royalewcheese. ;) Falls Ihr Interesse an einem Gedankenaustausch über kulturelle Unterschiede habt, besucht doch royalewcheese, die Community ist allerdings auf Englisch.
